If I had to chose a suspension lift, I'd go for the RCD and turn down the T-bars. I would pair that with a set of Deaver custom leaf springs for more articulation and accept the fact that I'd lose max payload and towing.
I am considering that. The drawback is you're eating up compression travel to drop, just as you eat up droop when you crank up. It's not optimal but maybe it's not a big deal. I think I would probably end up doing Deaver or Alcan rear springs no matter what - none of these kits include a good rear solution. I am highly skeptical that RCD's rear AAL can lift 4" at all, and even if it can, that it could hold it there for long.
I had to ask myself, what I actually do with my truck. 99% of the time i'm driving the kids around or going through tall grass in the back yard. .5% I'm going to the Dump because I own a Money Pit in the Burbs and the last .5% I'm going down a BLM road on my way get out smarted by Rocky & Bullwinkle. I don't even take my truck to the Outer Banks beaches anymore because it's too much of a liability.
What do you do with your truck that makes you need a lift?

Off road trails at least once a month.
I may ultimately decide to do nothing more to the truck and buy a Land Cruiser or something instead.
I ordered tires for The Eight Nine on the 7th. It was supposed to take until March 31st for my order, but I just went and picked them up. I think I will refinish the Pony wheels this summer too. I need to go visit the paint store.

Best one thus far. Iduno, thinking Merlin might be crazier than Paul. Wouldn't want to be in the car strapped to him...man what a ride lol. It's a good one though.

Well if you're not into off grid adventures w/family and friends, it's most likley not worth the investment. There's value in those memories, they stick with yuh. You won't really tear them up unless you beat on them or neglect...just like anything else.
4" proportionates 35" tires and clears most obstacles and voids on the trail.
If you don't go anywhere like that, then yea...it's a waste.
