They beat Amazon by $6 after tax and shipping but more importantly by a whole week on delivery. I'm glad they're finally shipping here!

Take advantage of that! Shipping was crazy to MI about a month ago. It may depend how close you are to one of warehouses or affiliates are. It's been hit and miss over the years with RA, for the most part pretty decent or fair anyway. But lately, depending on the merchant, it's something you have to watch now...more than usual. Like I said, it's not just RA. You have to watch Amazon as well, specially if it's not a "Prime" purchase.

I've been waiting on a few things from Amazon for awhile now. Shipping cost was good, but very very slow, - over a month slow. Costs should go back down eventually, but some places, right now anyway, it's like they don't want to sell if they have to ship it.

Same. I've spent more time waiting on parts than I have actually fixing things on this truck. It's an everywhere problem - my industry is running out of raw materials - metals, electronic components, packaging materials - everything. We have food shortages for the first time in my lifetime. My wife (who doesn't let me go to the store, mind you) probably spends half the amount of time it takes to run her business on grocery shopping now.

But hey, at least we're Building Back Better™!

When did they not ship to Colorado? I ordered and received stuff in August.

As for Amazon's delivery times, I'm having a hard time justifying Prime any more. Yes, not needing to meet a $35 minimum is nice, but waiting 2+weeks for stuff to arrive regardless is annoying when you're paying for the privilege.

As long as it's not coming DHL with Rock Auto, you have a chance. The past 3 orders, thru RA were all DHL to me. Everyone sat in Cincinnati for over a week. I finally got ahold of a higher up person, and low and behold, my package arrived the next day.

USPS has really slowed down to us. What was 4 days at the most is now 8 or 9 or even more. Whatever was done to the USPS, is to me, feels like it's almost criminal. Even med's are on the slow track right now.

Maybe it was around August. It was around then that I last got their notice that they wouldn't ship me stuff due to some tax nonsense. I had heard they were shipping to some zip codes, but not mine. That went on for years.

Fedex. I don't actually have parts in hand yet, so there's plenty of time for failure.

We stopped using USPS years ago. May as well drive your stuff around yourself.

In Alaska, you don't have 50 different roads coming to a point somewhere. USPS is a lifeline to the villages and most of the State. USPS has failed us since late 2019ish. 2020 was a bit worse, and now, WTH is going on.

Well, all I can say is I hope your local governments are working on a new lifeline - it's not going to improve.

Back in Ohio, it recently took three weeks for a birthday card to get across town via the post office. I never did get an envelope my 'rents sent me, then the replacement took two weeks. The card I sent my sister took 3 days. Who the heck knows how they work?
