Id say give him half and get a bill of sale and once it all goes through youll give him the other half. If youre willing to wade thru this crap for it he should be willing to wait a few days for the other half once everything clears.

Also the DMV or SOS can give you the bad info over the phone...screw you right up or mislead. Never purchase a vehicle this way as the proposed seller is not the owner and no rights offering the vehicle for sale in the first place.

Utah is a little different than other states. I sold a car that was titled under my parents names. My Expedition was also left by the owner at my Buddy's shop, and I was able to acquire the title, but it's been so long ago that I don't remember how, LOL. So I emailed the DMV now because they won't answer the damn phone now due to "high call volume". My neighbor works there too, so my Wife will call her after she gets home from work tonight.

My Wife just took my daughter to the DMV for her learners permit... they told them to come back on June 24th for the earliest appointment.

This COVID stuff licks!

Question for you thinkers, I’ve been sitting on a thread since January 12th. I have all the pictures and all the thread typed up and just sitting in my notes. It’s a detailed explanation of how to repair a spare tire holder for $2. Should I post it? My repair has held up for 5 months now for me so I’d be safe to say it works.

I went Friday to our version of the DMV to pick up my sisters plates. All I needed to do was use this ATM like kiosk to get the plates but like you, one person at a time. After waiting an hour I find out because of the virus the machine has been moved to a Kroger store. It was all a PITA. Can't imagine what it would be like with a real issue. I'd also feel bad for all the people outside in line waiting for a real problem to get solved. That alone might be enough to have me looking elsewhere for a car.

Post it. Let readers decide what that want to do with it.

My Brother told me Utah closed all of the DMV's today because one of the employees tested positive for COVID. Might be why I can't get an answer.

EDIT: Looks like only one location closed, but it is the main location. I'm sure the other locations absorbed the workload.

Got my new shoes put on today! Glad i got the alignment done last week. I made sure to count the turns on the old tie rods... matched that perfectly on the new ones... anyone want to guess what my toe was on each side?
Already these new ones are much quieter and ride SO much better. Before and after pics (also got its first wash in over 1.5yrs. ) And sorry the lighting is off in a few, sun was shining bright and it was hard to see the tread on the tires lol
