Mornin' Bear!

Just had a call.... "hey, the server/switch rack on the wall is about to fall off". Great... turns out that someone mounted it to sheetrock. Not studs, no anchors. It now has a kick stand and screws going into studs.

I've had 2 of the 351M's and buddies with them and never a problem. 3 400's though, and all of them lost oil pressure and took out rods or mains. I have never understood how raising a deck height would make a difference, but it seems to be about 50=50 on the 400. Either it was good, or it was a boat anchor. The 351M never gave oiling problems throughout my time at Ford. I also never had a 351C ever give me problems with oiting.

I took a pan out and part of a block once at about 6700 rpms. But that was on me. I floated the valves a tad bit. Just a tad mind you.

Good morning... we had the roof scheduled to be done today. The forecast makes it near impossible, so he's going to do it tomorrow. Was hoping to have an off day tomorrow... dang it.

I need to get someone to look at ours, but keep forgetting. It's 20 years old, and we've seen evidence of either leakage, condensation, or snow infiltration from the roof vents (most likely). Thinking about a metal roof if it's not exorbitant in cost vs. shingles.

Speaking of roofs, was out at the kids place today, planned to clean the trailer up and put it to sleep and noticed the roof sagging from the AC to the gutter on one side of the trailer. I've actually noticed this in the spring, so minimal then it was hard to judge whether there was an actual leak was occurring. At that time I figured the AC gasket would be the culprit.

After a little bit of research at the time, I decided to changed the AC gasket as I've read the manufacturer uses a two piece gasket which aren't the best and may cause problems. Swapped it out with a one piece gasket....worries over right.... So that was the spring of this year. This morning when I got up the roof, it had sagged big time, same spot but wide spread now....very much noticeable, so much so , the decking needs replacing as it has separated from the membrane. I also noticed algae or something green around a section of gutter on the side....looks fungusy. Other than that and upon further inspection, the gutters looked fine. Factory caulking still in place, a little greenish towards the bad spot, but uncompromised....from what you can see anyway.

I found that it was actually the gutter screws leaking themselves. There is more than 100 of these screws hidden behind a snap-in cover piece which is part of the gutter. They screw into the roof decking. Water finds it way through the screws then wicks up the roof decking... In this case, all the way to the AC.

Fooled me for sure, I thought if anything it would of been the AC gasket....wrong!

I wasn't having much luck looking for this problem on line until I added "gutter leak". Roof leak didn't net anything like this and I've thought I've already seen all that happen up there owning one these....wrong again!

Not happy, worst purchase ever made for me...

That's the $4!ts, Brew. I hate when I regret a purchase like that.

I started in on this little turd, Frankus today. I worked until it was so dark that I couldn't see through my helmet anymore. And it was pretty cold. It snowed up in the mountains today.... and the weather says snow in the valley on Tuesday and Thursday. So, I really need to speed up this project! I did a little more after this pic... but this is pretty close to how it sits.
