Yea Pauls only been doing Fab Rats for a year or so....quit his real job last week. Full on Tuber now..that's great!

BTW, - the 3M compounds use to be the best money can buy. Not sure if that's still true, I seen their stuff fix some nasty paint in the past.
Yeah, my sub count has been clipping at a pretty decent pace. I hope it keeps going. I got a notice that I hit 25,000 total views yesterday. Paul has benefitted from Matt, and also having his other channel. I've seen videos on there that are 5 or 6 years old. I have an old channel, but it was never intended to generate subs, it was just to post vids on places like FB and here. I've noticed that a lot of Matt's stuff has lost the Winder towing moniker, and has gone to the MORR logos as well. Hell, maybe at some point I'll change it up too, lol.

I went with Meguiar's compounds because, well... that's all anyone sells close to home right now. The guy at Autozone told me they are having a hell of a time keeping waxes and polishes in stock. Lots of empty spots on that isle. And I've had really good success with Meguairs in the past. I use their stuff all the time for car shows.

Oh.... I like your guess too. I think you're probably closer to being right than I am.

Paul has another channel? Was that derby you posted the other day one of his as well? Yea, I only have his Fab Rats in my list. I've seen Matts derby vids with Paul in them.

I haven't been keeping up on current events lately. I guess some merchants and chain stores are having a hard time keeping stocked due to, well, you know...

The 3M stuff I'm referring to I've only seen professionals use. They apply very little and get a wheel on it right away. I can't recall the formulation number. I do know you really have to know what your doing using that stuff. They also use it to blend new paint. Very little wheel time, definitely not for the novice....might not even be available to everyone.

I got a glimpse of a military truck parked in Matts yard in one of the vids. Then seen a stack of tires in another vid, they looked new, military as well. Next build I'm guessing.

I'm thinking Brew was describing the clear coat repair blender. 3M has it, as does Axalta. Axalta # is 790. I have a can ready for when I finish the clear coat repair on Red. Great stuff, but certainly not for everyone to use. You have to have skill and patience to use this stuff, and it's just an overcoat to meld the clears together.

The guy I spoke to told me to be careful with the stuff that I got because it's made to work fast.

Damn... earlier today there was a fuel spill on I-15, now a few miles south of that spill there's a gravel spill.

Link doesn't work up there ^^^

For the 3M stuff, look under "3M Finishing Polish" ... it'll probably come up if you use "compound" as well. 3M 06085 perhaps. The good stuff use to have a green cap (don't see it anywhere now), round squeeze bottle and had the consistency of tooth paste. Quick and easy if you do it right. But at the same time, VERY easy to screw up the finish with it doing it wrong lol.

Shoot, they have so many paint correction compounds on the market now....I didn't know they had one for Gel-coat, - that's cool!

I've also heard good things about Maguiars in the past. It might be a little tamer ..or forgiving.

Axalta 790SC sounds like good stuff as well. SC must signify "Spray Can".

It'll definitely be a trial and error deal, I'm sure. I had to go get my back into alignment again, so I just got home. Probably need to get the O2's replaced in the F150 tonight or tomorrow... it has to go over to SL on Friday to get some MDF, then head over to my Buddy's house to build a sub box for Frankie.

Also, what I mean by fast, I seen them do a SUV door in under 10 seconds. That was with a big buffer pad and he moved quickly. That was just blending clear. Probably better to do some quickys first anyway. You can always do another if it needs it. Play it safe lol.

LOL... yeah. The guy told me to run the buffer on "3" and it would give me the best results with what I am using. We'll see, lol.
