Bucko - It's amazing how metal roofs have come along. For our place, though, I think I'll be looking at the standard style. It just seems to fit the style out here. I'll want to be able to walk on it as well, since I have amateur antennas I'll need to access.
I've not used the pump-saver product, but may look into it. Thanks for mentioning it.
Good morning thinkers!- its another lovely day in the neighborhood… (sarcasm)
Hey guys, this is what happens when contractors put the wrong size bearing on a shaft-
that shaft is over 4” in diameter ( well it was)…
This is some of stuff we get into at times!
Hope you fellers have a great day!
So... it sounds like there may be a drag race brewing between Matt's Banana and Paul's FJ, LOL. Cool to see BSF on this episode, and Matt's episode from Sunday.
I hit like Bear but that post needs a WOW button....
I've seen things saved with a little bit of wear but never seen anything survive with that much missing
There is a channel on youtube that fixes all types of big machinery problems (can't think of the name) but that might even be a bit much for them to tackle too...
The airbox was packed and stacked in a tote quite a few years back. That's at a storage unit. I would have to summon the energy to find that part of it. I'll see if I can get out there sometime soon.
Hopefully your shipping box would still be in good shape...that would make for a quick turn around. I'll let you know when I dig it up.
Yea , I didn't end up pulling insurance on that truck yet. It's not their DD and the lumber yard is in town, so getting rid of it is back burnered temporarily. I guess it'll be around a little longer.
Brew. Those protectors I sold you also cover that part Whitey is showing scuffed. They look like this installed. Please excuse the dirt. It's been muddy and wet the past week. Time for a clean up.
Yea, those are it! I have those packed away. Yea, I have move that stuff from storage over here, I have room now, just lazy I guess lol. That's another project. Not sure what I have anymore.
^^^ That spare parts post jogged my memory that I needed to contact Amazon about their latest blunder. After botching the order of the breather cap twice, suddenly I received one on Sunday. I'd already cancelled, received a refund, and also an additional "we're sorry, here's 5 bucks" credit to my account. So I just got on a chat with an agent, to see WTH happened.... the stupid thing shipped 2 days after I had resolved the issue with Amazon. The agent said "just keep it". LOL.... sure, I'll hang on to it for a spare.
Morning everybody.
Got us a real Payton Place going on at work today. Or maybe a mutiny.
Some insight. We build custom equipment, usually automated. We have a very laid back company culture. We are also employee owned. I have a lot of $ coming to me when I reach 59 1/2 and can start cashing out.
A couple weeks ago we get a letter from the Gov't saying we have to get vaccinated and wear face covers and other stuff. HR person sent a memo out and like normal it was ignored by most of the general population.
We got a letter from our insurance co saying the same thing as the Gov't letter. HR sent memo and it was also ignored by the general population. All but I think 4 people out of nearly 100 total are vaccinated. The company even had the county health people come out for a vaccine event and almost everyone got their shots then.
The unofficial policy was that if someone cared about the policy just say so and when anyone else entered their workspace we would put on a face cover and distance. This worked out well until yesterday.
A certain VP who is known to be a bit of a tyrant decided to make a fuss about no one following the memo. We never followed HR memos, ever before, why now?
Yesterday just before end of workday he sent some people home for 3 days. They came back to work this morning. VP got angry that they came back. Got even angrier that they went back to work as the prod manager told them to. People ignored him more and I thought his head was gonna explode.
It is now lunch time and everyone that is not a manager has left the building, All the engineers, welders, electricians, sales, are gone and said they ain't coming back. I left. I'm at a BBQ joint now and as long as everyone else stays out I will too. We are not only not union, most people here are anti-union.
Our CEO (who is a great guy) is supposed to be out until Monday. I bet that is a nice vacation phone call. I'm told he is hunting in NY or somewhere.
I need popcorn.
More info on my personal interest in the matter. I have ~2 yrs before I can start getting that ESOP gravy payments. At today's value it would be over 100K a year and I don't need to retire or quit to start the payments. If I get fired I the payments start withing 3 months of being fired. Quitting is the same as retiring as the fist payment starts at 59 1/2. I've been thinking of moving closer to Richmond as that is where most of my kids and grandkids live. If I get fired I will really like getting that $ for moving and can take a bit of a vacation. I don't think it will come to that though.
