Since you guys are all about weather today, anyone have a weather station? I have
this one this one
and I really enjoy it. I have some friends around the country who also have one, so we can look into each other's weather (admittedly not very useful unless you happen to be going there).

Here's a pic of the same one mounted at the peak of my garage roof (and a rare cloudy morning in CO).

I had it installed on a power pole about 230' from the house, but being down the hill, the wind readings weren't accurate to what was happening up here at the house.

My dad looks in on it every day. Likewise the webcams I put up. Mom says those help make it feel like I'm not so far away.

As I researched them, I determined that this was the best bang for the buck. You can get better (read more $) ones that have additional sensors, more features, and higher update frequencies, but this one is adequate for my needs.

Additional sensors would be nice, for the attic and basement anyway.

Agreed. We had one before this and it would read +10 deg. in the sun. It still worked, so I gave it to my little nephew and thus, I can't remember the name of it. This is one is +/-2, maybe better.

In fact, the COS airport and the USAF Academy both have one reporting under their NOAA call signs (KCOS and KAFF).

What's irritating, though, is they both report different pressure values than whatever sensors they use to report via NWS. I suspect the official value are the one that are wrong, too. Nobody at the Academy or the NWS center in Pueblo will answer my email, either... ******!

Since there seems to be a lot of computer geniuses in here....on my broken keyboard... I made every conceivable update and adjustment before going to the keyboard replacement. It must be something in the settings that I just can't find. Is my next step to reformat the drive and reinstall Windows?

This is the next one up, Brew - https://ambientweather.com/amws2000.html
There are a number of additional sensors that can be added.
