My friend just on the other side of the mountain from me just sent a text that says "buckle up, you're about to get some heavy rain". Great.

I've spent my night talking to a fan of the channel, and then repairing the center console bracket in Frankie. Had to tap one of the nuts to an M8X1.5 because I started drilling it out in the car... and well, the jute backing on the carpet caught the drill, and I messed up the threads.

I don't keep them in the garage because I rarely use them. I finally put them back in my tool box out back on Saturday.... then I need the damn thing again. Same thing with my rivet gun. Need to go buy the right rivets tomorrow though. They closed at 8:00, or I would have gone already. Damn bracket has three rivets that go in it, and all 3 are a different size. It has a 5mm, 6.3mm, and a 6.6mm. This kit has all three.

Speaking of rivets, let me know if you end up needing a couple more like the ones I sent before. I might have to charge you double, though.

Thank you!!

When I put the headlights in a couple weeks ago, I figured I'd go ahead and put those in at the same time. For the life of me, I can't find where I put those. I know that I left them in the envelope you sent them in.... I went through all of my totes full of Fox Body parts, and I just can't find them. And right now as I type this, I remember (last night) seeing a small crate that had a couple dipsticks hanging out of it and I should go check that for the rivets tonight.

The numb nuts before me left one potentially crappy job for me to do on that. He just popped the top off the rivets by prying them out, so the body is still left inside the header panel. Sometimes those to just spin when you try to remove them.

I got asked to attend another Cars and Coffee for tomorrow. I'm not feeling much like going. I have too many projects that I need to complete....

Your exactly right about the rivets. Having the correct size and type on hand is the the trick...I never seem to lol.

Looks like a good assortment you found there.
