Let us know how you like that Fumoto valve. I've had one in my Amazon cart for a couple years now, lol.
I had one on my Mustang and it was great. I almost achieved a completely clean oil change on that car (I spilled literally one drop and I believe it was from the filter). The only thing you need to be careful of is positioning the lever so it can't be opened by brush etc. You can stack additional gaskets to clock it where you want, if necessary (wasn't actually necessary on the F-150) and get the upgraded, metal lock.
Good morning thinkers! Hope all is well with you all!- Yep, the A/C fan on the outside unit was bad- (after two attempts by the repairman)
Its good now, though.
This is my friday!- taking the Mrs. to the Drs. tomorrow. Hope you fellers have a great weekend!
ill catch up later!!
Sheesh! I had to catch up! No notifications again.
Registration renewal has come around again for the Mustang, and most every year I think, "Maybe I' should finally get that personalized plate I've been wanting since I installed the Vortech." And once again, I remembered why I haven't done it. There's a $60 one-time fee and $25 annually on top of the standard registration costs. Looks like I'll wait until this time next year, then go through the "think-about-it-look-at-the-costs-and-say-screw-it" process again, because it's just not worth it for the dozen or so times I drive it each year.
Wow... there is an up front fee in UT of 21 dollars, then no annual fee for the plate. Just the taxes. I'll be getting one for Frankie soon. It expired at the end of July. EDIT: Maybe I paid a personalization fee.... can't remember. I registered the Wife's Escape at the same time, so it was a pricey visit to the DMV.
It cost me $5 to swap out the F150 plates to Red. The old F150FS plates Red had, just cease to exist after 9/22 next year if I don't renew them. Currently they can still be used for another vehicle.
Alaska is $100 for 2 years but each Borough has its own tax methods. Anchorage is $70 for 2 years on any vehicle 7 years old or more. Newer ones get the bigger tax bill until they reach 7 years.
I was pleasantly surprised by how good the radio reception is and how clear the phone is on this new radio head. I drove around yesterday and just played music from my phone library. I made a mental note that all the music, you want to play at one time, really should be in one folder so they all play back to back. As it is, the songs filter to an artist and only play the songs from the albums listing. They may have more songs, but another album, so you have to restart it. That's just an Android thing that can be redone in settings though. This is why I like Android over Apple for these types of applications. Will work from my laptop also and can see my ELM327 on the Torque app in live time. I can see where this might be dangerous while driving though. LOL
I liked that I could talk in Sonya now without yelling into my phone. Handsfree is the only way to go. Red and Blue both had these, but I was slow to do this one. Lots to take apart and put back together for an S197 radio swap. Now I can hear music where there is no live signal (lots of that on the Fairbanks/Anchorage trip). Lots of mountains to block the signal. Denali being the biggest obstacle.
.I put my music in albums based on my mood.
Slow = stuff that is calming and destressing, like Stevie ray Vaughn and Rush
Upbeat = stuff to get me going, like Adrenalin Mob, Foo Fighters, or ACDC
Kickass = really get the blood going like Amon Amarth, Rammstein, or Sabaton
Then just pick an album based on what you feel like and it will play what you like from whatever artist
