Probably, but there are some really decent programs for a PC now. And Adobe Premiere Pro is probably the cats azz now. It's part of Creative Cloud, so it doesn't really matter what you're using. I might eventually get to that point, but it's about $55 a month last time I looked. I hate recurring payments for software. I'd rather ante up on my hardware and pay a one time license.
Unfortunately, I see this trend constantly where vendors are switching to monthly fees. People and companies have been riding out on old platforms for so long that they need to generate a more consistent revenue. I wouldn't be surprised if Windows is a month to month some day.

If you want to keep your data you better look at L and pay much attention to the programs you install.
I'm so boring I just us 10. I figure my data just puts the buyers to sleep anyway.
