I'm hoping I remember to order my U-joints tomorrow. The only time I think about it is when I hear the thing(s) squeaking while driving the truck.
Can I assume that un-bolting the front shaft from the flange will allow me to compress the two-piece shaft sufficiently to get the thing out, or do I have to remove that front cross brace? And should I lube that shaft spline joint, or "if it ain't broke..."?
I hate when Amazon makes my delivery dates different for the same project. Although, I must confess... On this order, when I had them in the shopping cart together, they had a Saturday delivery date. Splitting them up made both pieces arrive sooner.
I used standard LBJ's when I redid them a couple years back, and the right side was a way-too-easy fit. I picked up an oversize replacement for that one awhile back, but now both sides are clicking, so.... now I have LBJ's, front U-joints, coils, plugs, injectors, O2 sensors.... Going to have some fun one of these weekends (or a couple if them).
Good afternoon thinkers!- One day closer to the weekend!- The mrs. is finding projects as we speak!-
I know what you mean White!- wiring brings out a special kind of OCD in me!- it just HAS to be right and look right- neat and tidy!
Very little gripes me more than somebody opening their hood and have five ring terminals hanging off the post clamp bolt going to their accessories!
Got a guy coming out to quote me for a roof tonight. Hoping somehow the insurance will cover at least part of it... because they would have had a biggas claim if I hadn't climbed up there last night.
