Would like to know the rest of the wreck story.
You come out alright? Did your mortgage thing go OK?
Tell us the story !
Nevermind, I see you posted in another thread.
I'll repost here for general info...the illegal who hit my truck while drunk disappeared and is probably living in another state with another identity by now. As far as I know he didn't show up to court for the two summons he was given. I think I said it before, but the registration the police gave on the report was for a guy who sold it four years ago to a dealership who can't recall whom they sold it to. The tags, which were expired as you saw in pictures were fakes from what I can tell, likely stolen, but the cops wouldn't give me any more info on that. Long story short, they gave me minimal info because they didn't want to address the immigration status issue and the red tape that comes with it. Ironically, about a week ago, another illegal drove under the work truck(17 F750 dump) I was driving with her Hyundai while on her cell phone. Cops no faulted it because there wasn't any damage on the truck and she probably only had liability if any insurance at all.
Its like I'm a magnet for Latinos, but I can't seem to attract any good looking ones.
My insurance on my truck called it a total loss and covered it all under uninsured motorist for $7500 given the restored condition which is well over book value (thanks USAA, small plug there).
Unfortunately that means you all are helping me pay for it in future premiums (sorry bout that, although I blame Florida partially for their support of the insurance racket). Sucks to be out a truck just before buying property, but at least, if you don't count my personal labor in fixing it up, I came out in the positive.
My 80-series arrived today. Driver drove non-stop since Wednesday afternoon and got here in half the projected time. That dude was delirious from lack of sleep. Go with God, trucker man.
I got some GoPro video, but need to edit it and see if I can zoom in.
It was insane for the 1st hour as we drove around.
Then we found Bob, Dave, and Tom.
Parked by them and shot some video.
We found a better spot once things cleared out right at the intersection.
Next year we will film from there.
