Thinking
EDIT: Sounds like I just repeated with DT said.

If you need a new one, I may have an old Win7 key that would qualify for update. Would have to scrounge around a bit.
I had a 125 and it was silver. Sorry, was busy answering something else. A friend of mine had a 250 and it was red but it was a competition model. Lighter and a lot of fiberglass. My 125 was metal except for a blank number plate which was plain, white plastic. I hadn't thought about the bike in years. I only had it about a year and a half. The bike wasn't street legal and I wanted more than just riding in the dirt.
You're right about the Huskies too. They were considered the pinnacle by most people. Problem was you could also put 3 thumpers in the garage for the price of a Husky.

I worked for a guy that owned a bump shop all summer when I was 14 to get his Husky. Just worked for his bike, then quit....because body work sucks lol.
I got sucked in to the $1 a day during their last sale but then when signing up, they offered $2 a day without commercials. Totally worth it to watch everything they have without commercials. I just wish they made the app for FireTV better. I hate having to do a search for something I just watched yesterday. It should show up in a recently watched section or something so I don't have to search every time.
I love my car!. I never paid attention to the Fiesta and still wouldn't unless it says ST. That transforms a regular, ordinary econobox into fire breathing pocket rocket. OK stock fire breathing might be pushing it but with a few aftermarket parts and a tune, this thing is an absolute blast. 230HP and 270-280lb-ft on the stock turbo is common and with only 2700lbs to pull around it does pretty well for itself.
Edit, it completely escaped me for minute, this is WHP vs. the flywheel HP quoted for the Mustang so my comparison is off. Oh well.
If I remember correctly this is close to a stock Fox body once they went to mass air in the late eighties. I think they quoted 225/280 at the time and this was before they changed (lowered) how HP is reported back 2007. I know white can set me straight if I am wrong here.
You add that to great handling and it is a very fun package. Kind of reminds my of my old 510 but with a lot more power.

Years ago there was a gang of us that was given a demonstration on one of the ways the repair, bid process gets perverted. The demonstration used an actual bid but it wasn't for a vehicle. It was for rebuilding an Ingersoll Rand, or similar, generator\air compressor trailer used for road building and repairs. The materials, time and money for the bid was based on the information in a manual put together for repairs. The guy giving the demonstration showed us in the bid where the removal and reinstallation of the starter showed up 3 or 4 times. This was the result of breaking down listed sub-processes for a rebuild covered in the manual. None of this was shady so far. The problem comes from each one of the necessary sub-processes requiring the starter to come out and be put back in. For the actual work though the starter only needed to come out once and then be reinstalled. Assume the removal and install for the started is listed with a labor fee of $50. That $50 fee becomes $200 even though it will only be done once and $150 becomes scammed income. The additional or redundant listing of the work should have been zeroed out. Something the manual allows for. This wasn't happening because of a mistake. It was intentional. I don't remember what the bid was except it was substantial. When he finished his demonstration he showed us sheets of unnecessary work buried in the bid no one would every see unless they also had the bid manuals to track everything in the bid. In the end I'm guessing somewhere around 30% of the bid was nonsense. I think it's safe to say the submitted bid was over $10k. If someone wants to deliver a bid of $4k for installing a used engine and make the bid look reasonable and justifiable, can it be done? Absolutely. .
River, this is exactly why I choose to work on my own vehicle whenever possible. I can get all new name brand parts And still fix most everything for cheaper than a shop would charge me in Chinese parts and labor. the only things I would/could never do is transmission related things or complete engine rebuild. And both of those stem from lack of knowledge and proper tools.
Newer packaging but I think this is the one i used. Ill grab a pic tomorrow for ya. Ill also snag a pic of the pitman arm.

Yea the Hondas were limited, up to 250 class during that era. Silver w/dark green stripe. Then they went w/red, remained there and lost the Elsinore name.

I think I can say I knew some 14 year old teenagers that would have jumped on the chance you came across for the bike.I could be wrong? As everyone knows, it's very rare to hear that. Almost biblical! It can happen though and didn't the green stripe on top of the tank identify something about the bike? My bike didn't have the green stripe. ???
If I've never said it I really like this smartass smiley. It's universal.Last edited by River1; Jun 4, 2020 at 09:04 PM.
Brew, I looked to se if I could find anything about bikes without the green stripe and found nothing. I did find going the other way though where it stated the green stripe CR125 had the same aluminum take as the CR250. I don't know if that actually explains it or not?
