It’s a ‘21 Job 1 built in late July and delivered in mid-late August.

These I R led have been lit on my truck since I got it in July. I have not activated blue cruise yet. I don't know It makes no sense. All I know is they interfere with self-tinting mirrors. I have to cover them up to get the mirrors to work correctly. This is an issue with a lot of trucks with blue cruise and self-tinting mirrors.

First I've heard of this. The mirror is mounted behind the bezel. So how do they affect the mirror tints?

I unhooked my battery last night, hit the brakes a few times to dissipate any leftover energy, let it sit for anther 20 minutes, hooked it back up and it STILL fails trying to install 2.5.1.

Apparently the senser in the mirror is very sensitive to IR light. All I know is if the IRs are not covered up the mirrors will tint down 'and stay that way all night. The technician at the dealership confirmed it. And said that mine was not the only one having this problem. Ford is not doing anything to fix it.

Same as many other, I took my Jan21 Plat build into dealer last Wednesday for 2 recalls and the 21G01 Blue cruise fix. It was sitting on 20312 rev243 when it went in. Thursday PM call they it was very complicated and would be Monday or Tuesday...fine, fix it. Monday widget says Synch v4.0.21281 and the truck was driven 6 miles (noon). 4pm he calls as said it was all done, i asked why the synch ver was still not correct, he just said all work was done. I asked if the tech confirmed BC was active, yes he said everything was good ( not that BC worked. I went to pick it up and he still could not answer any questions. Said they work to Fords specs not internet or google stuff. Bottom line is BC does not work and Ford pass seems screwed up as the recall still show and oil level shows no oil was added ( widget is showing the same but does report correct fuel.) Supposedly one of the largest dealers in region.

Could one of you folk @Livnitup look up my vin 1FTFW1E86MFA33598 and see what is left to update?
Thanks!

Ya, it's all good. Gotta get it figured out sometime. I have this week where I am not traveling so hopefully they can finally get it working. If not, it will stay until they do. Maybe with more people having problems with the update, Ford can work through the issues and make it better for those who will come after me.

The service guys are in a bad position in dealing with poorly engineered updates they have no ability to directly impact. All they can do is apply the updates and hope for the best. What they can do is not lie about what has and has not been done like in this case. They have control over that. I have made it clear that my acceptance will be when I take a test drive with them in the vehicle to confirm that it is operational. That is in the 21G01 update, so they can't really argue me asking for it. Only time will tell.

@Livnitup I wasn't going to ask, but I think I really want to know if the Sync update was the only one they missed on my truck when I brought it in for the BC updates, or if there's more. Would you look up VIN 1FTFW1E83MFA27161 and see what it shows?
