Still no Bluecruise, no OTA updates received. Called dealer and they claim it is up to date. How can that be if the current version of the sync software available is 4.0.23167? I have another appointment to go back to dealer. What are they doing wrong? What should I tell them to do to get it updated? Any help would be MUCH appreciated!! VIN: 1FTFW1E86MKE00572
I see when they replaced the APIM, and they seem to have done it right. Go into the "about sync" menu in the touchscreen. If they serial number is 1SN3HX1R, then that matches what Ford shows and you're now good to go to start getting updates whenever they decide to send you one.

The reason your BC doesn't work is because you're still way behind on updates. It will be a looooong time before the OTA process gets you caught up. Your APIM issue was fixed just 4 days ago, so the fact that you have not gotten an update yet is not surprising. When the dealer replaced the APIM, they were able to bill Ford for the work that entails. However, Ford does not pay dealers to update modules, so they won't do that. Your VIN does not show campaign 21G01 open which would allow the dealer to activate bluecruise on your truck. Now that your APIM is fixed, eventually your truck will sync up with the server and that campaign may pop up under your VIN, but it is not showing it now.

Now that the APIM is fixed, you are able to update the rest of the truck yourself with a Mongoose and FDRS if you were inclined to do so. As far behind as you are, that is what I would recommend.

I would say if your truck in configured with the hardware for Blue Cruise, you can tell them that BC is not working.... That was the hardest obstacle I had back when I got mine. I believe there is a TSB that tells them how to get it working, and that should give them the ability to bill Ford for some set amount of hours it is supposed to take. @rugedraw might be able to provide the specific TSB number, plus other advise based on his very awesome wisdom on these matters. Good luck!!

EDIT: He beat me to it...!! ;-)

Good news! Anyone who has auto-updates turned off can go ahead and turn it back on. I do not have a lot of info to share, but I can tell you that this OTA has been paused to a sublet of vehicles while more research is conducted on what is causing the problem.

I do not have any news for those already affected by the problem as to what the resolution will be or when it will happen. If I had to guess, the path of least resistance would be to revert people back to the previous software via the OTA process, but this is pure conjecture on my part.
i hope tbey figure this out because my ster sucks now

The update seems to have been pulled from everything I have been seeing. No word on when the fix will be pushed out though. I can tell you that a new update appeared in FDRS that reverts the software back, but it has not been reported by anyone via the OTA process yet.

Hi, just picked up my reg cab 4x4 XLT v/302A a couple weeks ago and am still learning all of the features. I had set up Alexa the other day but today it's telling me I need to have connected services enabled (it is). What happened? Ok, not for this forum topic NP. Can I get a vin check for the OTA status though? Is there a way to get addd'l features enabled like auto door unlock on approach, etc, ala carte style, say, from an online market and they can get installed/enabled OTA? VIN 1FTMF1EP8NKD61144

TIA!

Andy

Not sure about Alexa; never set it up myself, but connected service seems to be fine as I am able to pull the info in PTS. Last OTA was 6.5.0 followed by another OTA for the door modules on 4/10 which is recent. I see nothing to be worried about as far as updates go; you'll get the rest hopefully sooner than later.

Any other powerboost guys noticing that it's taking way longer to go into EV mode after this one? Power screen always says engine cold even when the coolant is up to temp. Just curious.

Certain updates on PowerBosot trucks will require the truck to be driven for a bit before it will go into EV mode. This should go away after you drive it a bit.

I got it on the update on the 11th and have probably put 300 miles on it since. It's going into EV mode, just takes way longer to do it and will say engine cold randomly even after it's fully warmed up.
