Default New owner

Bought a used (I think) Job 1 2021 XLT. Noticed it didn’t have full screen Apple CarPlay, and have not been able to receive an update since I’ve owned it.

hoping someone @rugedraw perhaps can check the vin and provide any info or suggestions. Still in warranty and I do have an extended warranty if that makes a difference for fixing.

Vin is 1FTEW1EP2MKD14193

A dealer swapped out your APIM in December of 2022 due to a lack of the truck getting updates. From what I can see, they programmed the new APIM correctly, however, it does not seem like your truck ever synced up with the servers. Your truck has not gotten an update since the APIM was replaced and the Sync version appears blank in Ford's server. I believe there may some kind of configuration issue within your truck's module network, but I can't tell. I am going to ask someone else to take a look at your truck and get back to you.

@wj73 I had someone look at your truck who has expert level knowledge on this things. Everything on your truck is properly configured and fine. I do not have a good reason as to why you haven't been sent any updates. I would recommend looking into going the FDRS/Mongoose route and doing the updates yourself. Your truck is very outdated and even if you got an update today, it would be a looooong time before the OTA process gets you caught up.

Well, as far as I could tell, it never went into deep sleep mode despite temps here dropping into single digits. I suspect the update didn't happen as there is no "receipt" of update. Did nearly 100 miles yesterday when we got back and its so nice to be behind the wheel of my own vehicle.

Thanks for the prompt response! Although disappointing. It's still very new to me and the dealer's service department seemed both willing to help and some idea of what I was talking about. Hopefully the can force some updates on their end.
