Curious what your F-150 IS that you are trying to update. Your signature says 2017 F-150 3.5 which would not be part of this group.

Edit: Oops... I see you profile shows 2021 XLT 3.5EB. Those 2021 model year trucks seem to be a real challenge when it comes to updates until the owners find a way to finally get them up to date.

We've learned more since that post. 1.2 and 1.3 is being skipped over and we will eventually get BC 1.4 whenever Ford figures out their issues and starts sending the updates out to everyone.

Well, i rolled the dice and got out FDRS, and did the Software update on the BCM on my 2021 XLT 302A, everything went smooth, did not brick BCM, the only thing is after the update was done, and it configured, it said configuration failed, and was still showing in the update tab, and after running a network test, and clearing DTC's, it disappeared off of the list and all was good, no issues.

Have an update that doesn't want to install for some reason. I just got a new battery so I doubt it's that.

Did you install the battery yourself? If so, did you reset the BMS after you put the new battery in? It is reporting very low capacity and SoC to the cloud.

You want to make sure it is fully charged before you do the BMS reset.

My poor truck is sitting unused right now with an update scheduled but guaranteed to get stuck. Think I’m going to grab an AGM trickle charger to help when I get back
