I'm pretty sure I talked to you on Facebook in an F150 group. If the button does not turn the camera on at all whether parked or driving, then it has to be the button. If the button does not turn on the camera while driving, but it does turn it on while parked, then it is not the button and it is a module configuration issue.
Wasn’t me on Facebook, but I’m on some of the groups. I’ll search and see what I can find.
My button doesn’t turn it on at all while parked or driving, BUT when driving I get a “some features have been disabled for safety message” across whatever screen I’m on, so something is happening when the button is pressed, I think. Also the fact that it was gone the day after I got the last update is odd. Could be a coincidence I guess.

Hard to diagnose on here, man. Hopefully the dealer can figure it out.
@rugedraw sorry to bug you again, I found the thread where you did answer me about the camera button before , my bad on forgetting that.
I found in another thread where you posted this in response to another member losing camera button functionality:
"If your rear camera is not working after a recent update, it is because your IPMA is missing an update that coincides with the update your truck received. If you have FORscan, you may be able to re-enable it that way. Otherwise, you will need the IPMA update to get the camera in motion back.
IPMA = image processing module A. The update comes via the OTA process, but there is no way to "get it". You have to wait for it to be sent. To manually install it, you need FDRS and an expensive OBDII adapter."
Can you see if my IPMA is missing an update and/or if it should have updated? I went back and checked my notes and it looks like my camera button quit working after the 23-PU0274-DOM-RS update. Dealer is still scratching their head over it after 3 days.

Yes, you do have a pending IPMA update, but if you had it before, you don't need this update to get it back. The update you mentioned before is an APIM update that maybe wiped that function from your truck when it installed. You can most likely enable back yourself with FORScan. The dealer cannot do that. They don't use FORScan as it is not Ford licensed software.

I guess it is time for me to learn FORScan. The dealer now has the dash taken apart looking for a wiring issue😬 They said they did all available updates, which does not seem to be true. Do you think they just don't want to mess with updates? Seems like a lot of updates they could do. IF they do the IPMA update while they have it, do you think it could restore the camera function? This is why I have been putting off taking it in lol, nothing is ever simple anymore. At least they finally gave me loaner today. Thanks again.

The IPMA update alone will take 4 hours. They are going to update a damn thing. Ford does not pay them to perform module updates, so they will always lie and make up an excuse for not doing them. Nobody likes to work for free, so it isn't their fault. It sucks, but it is what it is.

Wow. I get that. I don't get why they would take it all apart though, unless they are just full of it on that too or maybe it really is a hardware issue. If they figure it out I'll report back. Thanks, man.
