Also, @rugedraw are the module updates in PTS (Diagnostics > Vehicle Software) accurate? I don't have FDRS, but I bought three days of PTS to look up some service manual maintenance procedures, and I see this list for my truck:
Where do you see that in PTS? I've never come across that. I would have to check FDRS later when I get home with your VIN to verify if that's accurate. If it is accurate, that's very cool. Lmk how you got there. I will check my own truck which I know only has an ACM update pending on it.

Edit: I Just found it. And holy sh*t, it is accurate! Thanks for sharing. This is great!

So this is to say for all the 'update available' green dots I see on my screen, those are the modules that would have updates if I went the mongoose/FDRS route?

That appears to be the case.

Interestingly, it shows a lot of my modules updated when I got 6.1.0, which I thought was just a GWM update.

I have only checked it against my truck for accuracy, but seems legit.

6.2.0 and 23-PU1103-NAT-VCE are both GWM updates that were released after 6.1.0, so that you have another one showing it very possible.

@rugedraw could you look at my VIN and tell me what has been done with the truck since Wednesday?
1FTFW1E85MFB34941
It's been at the dealership for the works, underbody insulation recall and a non functioning rear camera button.
Truck's most recent OTA update was 4.2.3 on 9-14-2023.
The service advisor is saying they think it is the button, even though I explained it happened with that update.
I am not sure they have even really looked at it. Any insight would be appreciated.
I believe it was built March 2021, and I have never gotten timely OTA updates.

The thing is, what I can see in real time is anything done with FDRS in terms of module programming. The insulation deal does not require FDRS. All I can see they have is done is pulled up the workshop manual for your truck a few times which I am guessing is to troubleshoot the camera issue.

Thanks, pretty sure they are done with the insulation and oil change based on the oil life/tire pressure and he told me they completed the recall.

Really just wanted to confirm that they really hadn't done anything from a software point of view on the rear camera/button. Do you
think that lost button functionality is because of that 4.2.3 update? Camera works fine with I put the truck in reverse, the button just does nothing anymore. Used to be able to see the camera in drive with a button press.

Can you see anything with failed updates? My battery just randomly died on 1-06-2024 with no warning signs. I thought maybe
an attempted update killed it.

You had a failed APIM update in October, but it was resent to you in December and it went through fine that time.

Thanks, this is my first vehicle with any kind of ota update system.

Any thoughts on what it might take to recover the functionality of the camera button?

I'm pretty sure I talked to you on Facebook in an F150 group. If the button does not turn the camera on at all whether parked or driving, then it has to be the button. If the button does not turn on the camera while driving, but it does turn it on while parked, then it is not the button and it is a module configuration issue.
