Jumping in after reading pages of info. My 2021 F150 lost Sirius, display going on and off, maps glitching. After reading many posts, figured it was APIM. Took it to dealer, still under warranty. Told them my concerns. They have to do the checklist. They updated the modules and in doing so, i lost my radio now too. Surprise surprise, its the APIM. What i was told is the APIM doesn't play nice with Fords software. So basically a stalemate. In the meantime, my truck is slowing losing different components. No one has an answer on when it will get fixed. Beyond frustrated. Its been over a month.

I have a new to me 22 F150 Lariat Powerboost with 6.4.0, in this past week the sync 4 screen showed I had an update coming the next morning at 1 AM twice then later in the day the icon disappeared and no update. Secondly the unit reboots on startup about 1 out of 4 startups. Are these issues common?
Thanks!

There are many strange things going on with the latest sting of updates. I just did the IPC update (6.8.0) myself with FDRS, and I have been lucky with no issues so far. But many people have reported things like what you are describing.

Quick question, but first a comment - I have a 2022 Job 1 KR PB. My last OTA was 6.4.0 on Dec 11th. I feel very Blessed in that I actually all the options I ordered and everything has been working well. OTAs have flowed in ever since my local dealership a year ago had to replace the rear camera and an associated module - updating a slew of modules at the same time. When I expressed concern about the tech possibly not getting paid to do the updates, my SA expressed appreciation for my concern but advised me not to worry about it. He said they "would ensure the tech would be paid fir the hours he put into my truck" and their focus was to make my truck work as it's supposed to. I almost fell on the floor! Haven't had an issue with them since. BTW - I didn't even buy my truck from them. I bought it through Chapman in PA.

The question - I have 6.4.0. I see some other folks have 6.5.0. Now you've used FDRS for 6.8.0. Is there a 6.6.0 or 6.7.0 or the updates don't work like that?

Your experience with the dealer and the updates is not the norm. Consider yourself lucky.

Yes, there are 6.5.0, 6.6.0, 6.7.0 and 6.8.0 updates. Because I have FDRS, I don't wait for OTA's to come. I just apply them when they are available.

Yes, I feel very fortunate. I have no qualms endorsing Matthews-Currie Ford in Nokomis FL to anyone living in SWFL.

Thanks for the info on OTAs. In fact, thanks for everything you do. I've learned so much from the forums and this thread in particular - all 600+ pages! That's one thing the SA and their best tech (in my opinion) know - I'm active on the forums and they know there's folks like you who are "checking up" on them in PTS. Happy Holidays and all the best!🍻

Has anyone done the new IPC update via FDRS? I have a 2021 XLT 302A , the last IPC update i had done at the dealer, and it took over 6 hours.

I got 6.8.0 via OTA today. I don't recall seeing 6.5.0 thru 6.7.0. Last one I recall getting was 6.4.0.

6.8.0 required immobilization, as did 6.4.0.

Thanks!
I have the "Intermittant Reboot on Startup" issue..
PLUS ... Since the last update, the Sync 4 screen defaults to the "Settings" screen on start up instead of the last screen that was in use (Navigation screen)....
PLUS.... Since the last update, when using Navigation, after turning off the truck during the route, the Navigation used to return to the same trip that was in use to continue the route. It now closes the route, so you have to enter your destination again to resume your trip.

Yes, I did mine a few days ago. The other two I did also took 6 hours, but this one went through via the USB process as intended.

Many people have reported that, but have gotten all the updates in between. The problem is the delayed messages in Fordpass can't keep up with how aggressively these 6.x.x updates are being rolled out.
