I didn't know that, I thought Mach E had gotten this a while back. So I would assume it will go Mach E, then Lightening, and then the ICE vehicles, right? With us already into the 3rd Quarter it seems unlikely they will get to us in this calendar year but I hope I'm wrong.

You're forgetting the most important detail - 2024s ship with 1.4 already loaded.

I would say the Lightning and F150 will get it at the same time. The architecture on both is almost the same.

Incredibly enough, the 2024's are shipping with 1.2. Nobody know what happened to 1.4.

I hear you, but from what I have noticed is the EV segment seems to get "rewarded" with updated software faster than the ICE segment does. So regardless of the hardware I'll still bet Lightening will get theirs first. Which is kind of sad given that F-150 ICE pays all the bills at Ford...

Perhaps that's the logic behind the releases to them. Mach E's sell A LOT less than trucks, so if you're going to push out an update, send it to the smaller group of vehicles in case something goes wrong, there is less of a mess to clean up.

As the owner of a 23 Platinum, I'll be happy to get any BC upgrades, whether or not others have gotten it first. It may be better to be a little further back in line, as each big distribution may result in a few more software bugs getting removed. A post from @rugedraw (in late June I think) said that some Mach-E's had problems with an earlier update and that led to further delays. The good part is that a lot has been done for Ford even to send to a smaller group, so maybe we will get there before too long.

I agree that BC improvements have been much slower coming than I expected, and I am disappointed, but I remain hopeful we will get them eventually.

This one tried installing today but failed. I called Ford to see why and they said it had a corrupt file and will try again later.

That's believed to be the update that fixes the volume issue for the people with the 8-speaker B&O system.
