You're on Sync 22012 which is software that's almost two years old. I don't have FDRS on my work computer, so I will check your VIN from my laptop later when I get home and provide you with a list of pending module updates. My guess it that the list will be very long. The last time your truck received a successful update was may of last year, which is not normal, but your truck is talking to Ford's servers, so your truck is not the problem.

The list is not as long as I thought, but certain updates need to be applied before more updates will show since they require to be installed in sequence. I'm sure there are more than just these.

Thanks for checking.

The truck wasn't delivered until Sept of 22 and was built in May of 22. It seems like it hasn't received any updates since it was built.

Is there anything I (or my dealership) could do to understand the issue?

The issue is that Ford's OTA process is garbage and Ford won't pay your dealer to perform updates that aren't coming in. There is nothing wrong with your truck, so there's nothing to fix on your truck. Your truck not getting updates is not your dealer's fault, so they won't update it for free. I know it's not what you want to hear, but it's the truth. You can update it yourself, but you will have to invest in the tools needed to do so.

Default Take a peek?

Hi Rugedraw...
When you get the chance, can you tell me what's going on with my software situation? 1FTEW1EP0MKE35563

I am crossing my fingers that an update is pending. Things were updated a couple of weeks ago and since then, I have had troubles. Phone calls sound like garbage at times (random noises, like an amplifier pop) and sometimes just turning up the volume on a song causes trouble.

Plus, when I reverse, the backup camera doesn't always kick in.

Seems whatever software update happened broke some stuff.

Thank you for your time and help. 🍻

Unfortunately, what you are reporting has been reported by a few people after some recent updates. You can try resetting the APIM by holding down the radio power button and forward seek button together until the screen reboots, but if that does not work, you may need to visit the dealer.

No OTA pending in your queue at this time.

I'm hoping that Ford will "see' the issues the last update is causing, and just like Apple, release an update to fix them. If I want Wireless Carplay for example, since the update I have to reset the APIM.

Thank you for the quick response!
Yeah, I have done the reset a few times (including doing it twice in a row that's supposed to clear something totally?). Still getting the trouble.

To the fine folks at Ford: your customers are not happy. Moreover, you are placing some in danger with buggy software. At what point is a class action lawsuit drawn up... nobody wants that. Address and remedy the issues, please.

So I did the General -> Send feedback -> updates -> wireless updates not working twice every day for a week or so, and low and behold the updates showed up yesterday afternoon.

I think I'm all caught up since full screen android auto is in this update.

Thanks for checking on me.
