@roadPilot Did you apply updates that your truck had previously skipped over? I am at a point where I just received 4.2.1 a day ago and 3.5.4 and 3.5.3 a few weeks back. But my last update before 3.5.3 was 2.7.4 so I missed (and still do not have) the Cameras In Motion and Trailer Backup Assist w/ Stickers. Thanks.

In his case, no. He updated manually a long time ago and got those updates before the recent issues where Ford started sending updates out of sequence.

Would you please check my VIN (2023 XL+STX)? I got 4.2.2.2 early in May and nothing since then.

Thanks!

I can check tomorrow from the office, but your truck is fine. A 2023 has all the old hardware on it already. These newer 4.x.x updates are to prepare your truck for future updates. You're not missing anything by not having them yet.

My last update for my Job 1 2021 was back on February 20th when I got 3.5.2. According to Rugedraw 3.5.3 failed to download to my truck on many occasions. I had about given up on getting any more SW downloads and had stopped connecting the battery charger on a regular basis.

Today I did not travel more then a mile from my house, but started and stopped the truck on several occasions moving equipment from one airplane hangar to another. The truck sat for about an hour while we were working and the next time I started it I noticed the check mark on the screen. I finely got 3.5.3! My faith in the Ford OTA upgrades has been a tiny bit restored. At least I am not in the camp of having skipped over updates.

lucky you. I got 2.1.1 after a APIM replacement in April and nothing since. It has a good signal and is always on the tender. I haven’t driven it since so maybe that’s the issue but I don’t see why that would matter.

You had 4.21, 4.2.1.2, 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 all sent and installed between April and May. Your truck is fully up to date.

Well, for some of the updates, I found that for me, they only came via the cell connection and not WiFi, even though they had ample chance to be downloaded. I had gotten nothing for the longest time. Like you, I don't drive it a ton. As soon as I took about a 1 hr drive, I got an update. Then two days later on my return trip home I got another. Mine is always on a very strong WiFi connection and I hook it to the battery tender as well.

Please note I do not have definitive proof that the cellular connection was the only way it got updated, but I seem to recall others stating the same thing happening to them.

Good luck!

I'm now in the camp of skipped updates, 3.5.2 loaded today. Two things I looked forward to that are now missing, bed camera at speed and the ability to drive while using my Pro Power bed outlets. The Pro power issue started with one of the last updates I got in Oct.22, 2.7.3 I think. According to others on on the forums it was corrected with one of the next updates that my truck just skipped.
