turn off lights and schedule the update for 15 minutes after exiting truck parking break on as well. It will work.

it happens after 15 minutes not overnight

Every morning I'm greeted with the "You have an update to install that will be installed tomorrow at 0500 hours." or some such similar string-along message.

Any clue to what I might need to do to facilitate a successful update?

My update failed for a week plus, then I plugged in a trickle charger and voila it worked.

For those of you that did get 4.3.4 to go through and still do not have rear camera(s) in motion, Ford is aware of the issue and another OTA will be sent out to fix it. See attached.

Edit: I just got off the phone with Livornois. If your truck is tuned, this OTA will overwrite the tune. They already have the new strategy on file, so if/when it happens, contact them for an updated tune. I am not going to install this with FDRS. Once Ford forces it on me, I will worry about my tune then.

Lol

Since I changed the single register necessary to fix this problem after 4.3.4 using Forscan on my own, I wonder if I should now shutdown OTA updates.

Typical

I would advise against that. This OTA doesn't break anything......it just doesn't do what it is supposed to do for every truck that gets it.

I hear you but I am finally happy with the functionality now after 2.5 years of sporadic OTAs and would like to avoid any changes. Decades of software experience have taught me loads about not living on the bleeding edge, so I always delay taking updates until I know what's in them.

Fords half-baked OTAs with their almost complete lack of documentation have really been disappointing. When 4.3.4 came out and actually said what it was for I was excited, then it didn't work - surprise!

To be clear, after a new battery I got 4.3.4 installed, camera still didn't work, I fixed it in Forscan. 4.3.5 installed a day later. Not sure what's coming next that I may want but I am sure I can wait.

BTW is November significant or just the timeframe Ford expects to need for the next OTA to distribute?

Hmm, I got an OTA this weekend that isn't yet on the tracker. This one updated ABS, PCM, BECM, and SOBDMC. I'm wondering if this PCM update is the same that's listed for 22-PU1009-PPO-SI?

I was really hoping this update was 23-PU0327-DSP-AMP because I have started getting some erratic static on occasion. Ah well, back to practicing that patience!

Turning off auto updates will only prevent updates that require the vehicle to be inhibited from installing. All other OTAs will still go through.

Idk of anything coming in November that has officially been announced from Ford.

Last month was the first time anyone reported getting that OTA. I have it in the Excel sheet that is in the OTA history thread in the other forum, but the github page is not fully updated yet.

I've been trying to read into a lot of this OTA update business with these trucks. I recently just got my 23 Lariat PB a couple weeks ago. I've been trying to figure out why my BlueCruise isn't working. The lane assist works fine but not the full hands free. I only have an interstate near me that is a "Blue road" but I've finally noticed that in my Ford App (android) under the Connected Services, it still shows BlueCruise as Activation pending. I haven't been able to figure out why. (Also nav and ford streaming is still pending, but Alexa is active and working?)
How long of a trial is Alexa normally? Guessing 3 years? Mine expires 6/26/26 even though final prep wasn't done until 7/31/23. How much does this cost after that?
I finally found where I can see what Sync version I'm on. 4.0.23045
I've manually checked for updates, while at home on wifi, and it says up to date. But other posts mention 4.3.5. I see a lot of you also have 2021 models with OTA issues...
I just want to make sure mine is updated to the latest version and I'm getting what I paid for.

Also is BlueCruise a paid subscription? I saw that 2024 Ford was going to switch that? Nobody ever told me this when I ordered my truck and Ford doesn't seem like they've done well at explaining anything!

If there are other pages I should read, please let me know.
Thanks for the help!
