The update failing has nothing to do with the battery charge. It's just Ford being Ford with their garbage OTA process.

I don't even know what version or anything I'm on anymore. Last I checked I think I was over the hump of update purgatory but I like others haven't got anything since October so no Duel Phones, Alexa or Full Screen for me.

No OTA history for the past 60 days. I can't see as much details on the app as I can from a PC, so remind me to check it again tomorrow morning.

I'm just a car salesman. lol I wouldn't be able to fix their problems if they let me. They need to hire new software engineers

Your truck is on Sync 22177, so you are a bit behind on OTA's. You are indeed over the hump of where they get stuck, but it will be a while before you have full screen and dual phone capability.

That's cause of the Job 1 issues with the software etc yes?
I also presume Ford have no information on this getting fixed?

In your case, there is nothing to fix. Not on your truck, anyway. What Ford needs to fix is their crappy OTA process.

4.2.2 no longer allows the displays to be shut off while listening to music to save battery power. Now, it remains on with date and time. Driver display shuts off.
