Yes, I am new, I just bought this truck in July, it's spent more time at the dealer than it spent with me. Very cool truck, especially coming from my featureless Tundra.
I will certainly bring him a bottle of whatever he likes, I spent a few hours on this thread this morning and it sounds like a nightmare for so many people, so I'm extremely grateful. Thank you!

@rugedraw You need to have a Cash App linked to your signature so we can tip ya for all the great help and selfless services you provide your fellow brethren in the Ford F150 community. Seriously! Thank you.

@Ford Motor Co. is the one that should make me a 1099 employee and pay me to do what they can't seem to do. Every time I @ them, all you hear is crickets, though. lol
It is no secret that Ford's OTA process is garbage. However, they sit on a throne of lies. On 8/18, they checked your OTA history in OTS, so they saw the update that was failing and which modules are associated with the failed update. On 8/23, they hooked up the truck to FDRS and performed a network scan, so they saw al the updates available for your truck. They updated the ABS module, but made 0 attempts to update the PSCM and IPMA. Most likely because they know the IMPA update takes hours. Unfortunately, this is the norm and this is what happens when Ford does not pay dealers to update modules. Nobody likes to work for free.
After 2.3 years of owning my 21 F150 I am seriously looking at the latest gen Tundra. I don't think Ford gets many people coming from your camp.
I like most things about my F150 but the odds of it lasting as long as a Tundra are remote, and the 10spd tranny behavior is a constant annoyance that Ford just doesn't care to address.
Add in the absolute nightmare that is OTA updates and I wonder if the grass may be greener elsewhere. Keep that dealer of yours close.

Well, I drove the truck for an hour and a half yesterday after dealer said battery was good to hopefully get the battery up to snuff for one more try at 4.3.4. Set for 2am this morning, made sure wifi was working, app said pending update. Only now the truck didn’t indicate a pending update. Needless to say it didn’t even try. It shows in the updates menu in the truck but not in the top status bar like before I had it at the dealer. I guess I’m done for now with 4.3.4.

For people that set up auto updates, I'd recommend setting the update time to be like 30-60 min after you typically get done driving, either to work or after getting home. That should have the battery close to top charge when the truck attempts an update, if available, without needing to hook up a charger/battery tender. Setting it for early morning or hours after a normal drive gives time for the battery charger level to drop, especially if things aren't shutting down properly or there's a rogue parasitic drain.
