You're fine. With the exception of 4.3.4, all the 4.x.x updates are to prep the truck for future updates that aren't out yet. 4.3.4 is an update that gives rear camera in motion to 2021 trucks that did not get the update way back when it was released.

Yea, I am well aware of that. There are some configuration issues with the update packet and some people are getting it while others are not. It is still now known what the problem is and it goes well beyond my scope of knowledge when it comes to these things.

Realized on accident yesterday that I have full screen CarPlay. I kind of stared at it in awe for a second, then realized I actually like maps and music sharing the screen. Still super cool to finally have though!

I would like to get the music full screen and lose the Google map view on Android Auto. First world problems.

Getting frustrated like it seems most are with both Ford and my dealer so I really hope somebody on this thread can help shed some light on what's actually going on with my situation. I have never received an update since purchasing my truck in September of 2021 (nothing on the screen, no notifications on the app or via email, etc.). I took my truck to the dealer almost a month back to make sure there wasn't a larger issue (Ford OTA people were concerned because their system showed I had automatic updates on but my schedule wasn't being reflected). The dealer had it for 2 days. The first day they confirmed it was out of date and would be installing updates that afternoon and over night. The second day they called me back with a different story saying it wasn't out of date because their systems showed my VIN wasn't applicable to any updates they tried installing.
My vin is: 1FTFW1RGXMFC49620

I'll look into it on Monday when I'm back at work.

For the last week or two, my 2021 Lariat has been trying to software update to the new version with the backup camera upgrades/changes. I have done all I can to assist the process, but it just keeps failing. I have it autoupdating everyday, I drove it for 60 minutes before the scheduled update, I park it, lock it, put on the parking brake, roll up the windows, do a rain dance and leave the car alone overnight. Every morning I'm greeted with the "You have an update to install that will be installed tomorrow at 0500 hours." or some such similar string-along message.

Any clue to what I might need to do to facilitate a successful update?

Have you tried leaving it on a battery charger overnight?
