Yup. Took the boat over to the west coast. Stayed in Cape Coral and did Sanibel Island and toured that whole area. It was nice. Very different boating customs out there.

Ford screwed you over by sending you that update. You missed out on cameras in motion, pro trailer back up assist with the sticker instead of just the sensors, an no bluecruise (if your truck was supposed to have it). It is unknown what future configuration issues this may case with future updates. The only way to fix it is with a Mongoose. Your dealer can't help.

Same as above. Your truck missed several updates that you will now ever get unless you do it yourself.

Same as above. Ford seems to have given up on the older updates due to early 2021 trucks and is just skipping them.

i'm just throwing out my experience over the last month with symptoms similar to yours and what i ended up having to do. it didnt sound like this was a fix-it-yourself-in-your-driveway kind of thing. ford had to order a whole new apim and get their engineers involved and it still wasnt right.

i just throw out the DTC thing (error codes you can read with forscan) to see if it was that much more similar to my issue. seen a couple guys have the overlapping text and messed up NAV things...but to my knowledge im the only one getting a new apim so far. (for this series of recent issues).

if you have DTCs in those areas, i would hit up the dealer. although, one guy supposedly got his nav working again too with some forscan tweaks. guess it depends where it went wrong in the process. maybe one of these guys can pull your dashboard to see what it says.

 

Have you tried an APIM reset yet? With the truck running, hold the radio power button and forward seek button down together until the screen reboots. Do it two times in a row.

Since you got 4.2.1, you've had 4.2.2 sent to you and fail 5 times. Also, since you got 4.2.1, your truck is recording a DTC that it never recorded before:

IPC U0554 Invalid Data Received From Accessory Protocol Interface Module

I am not sure what is going on with your truck, tbh.
