Guys, I will be on vacation starting tonight. Any VIN check requests will be delayed. I return the office on Friday 9/8. I will be taking my laptop with me, but I will hardly be on it and the internet connection where I am staying is terrible.

If you find out why sync keeps crashing please let me know. This trucks sync system has been phenomenal compared to all my previous truck until this last update. Now my sync is constantly crashing and restarting. I have also done the reset and unfortunately hasn’t worked.

So am I right in assuming these updates are done over cell phone networks like AT&T or T-Mobile? How can that work if I never signed up and paid for a monthly cell phone plan with data?

Ford pays AT&T for the cellular in the trucks at no charge to us.
You can pay Ford if you want to hotspot off the Ford cellular.

My 2022 5.0 was last updated to 4.2.4 on June 7th. Per the power-up version history, I believe I should be getting 23-PU0327-DSP-AMP (B&O update) and 5.1.1 (malfunction indicator lamps).

23-PU0327-DSP-AMP was released in July, so I'm surprised I haven't gotten it yet. What is expected roll out period for delivering/installing these updates?

I wish it were that simple. The OTA history thread shows all updates that have been released for our trucks, but there is no systematic way in which they get sent out. Just because you got 4.2.4 doesn't mean you're getting the DSP update next, and someone without 4.2.4 can get the DSP update. I record them in the order the are reported by forum members, but that doesn't mean they always go in that order.

I received 4.2.2, 4.2.3, and 4.2.4 back in May & June and then 23-PU0724-DOM-RS on Aug 30 to Sync version 23159 Rev. 915. Looking at the Power-Up Version History, am missing the following or don't get/need them?
  • 4.3.2
  • 4.3.3
  • 4.3.5
  • 22-PU1009-PPO-SI
  • 23-PU0327-DSP-AMP (I have the B&O Unleashed)
  • 22-PU1009-MIL-PPO
  • 4.3.4
  • 5.1.1
Just wondering what happening with my VIN: 1FTFW1ED0MFB70405

I'm on vacation, so I'll check when I get back. However, you can get the higher Sync version without getting the other updates first. Nothing to worry about in that regard.
