Yes, all owners are getting some kind of non-revision number update after they get to 3.5.4 whether by OTA or FDRS. I updated my truck with FDRS on Sunday and I got that same update yesterday. If you go to FDRS and you have a BCM update there, do not do it. That BCM update you just got is to roll-back trucks from a bad OTA that was causing the quad light headlights to burn out.

Did you notice if it came via WiFi or cellular? With the 3.5.3 and 3.5.4 updates, mine only came when I had driven the vehicle so arrived via cellular. I know others also mentioned noticing similar cases. I know I have another update that should be coming (my Sync network connection went active on Tuesday which has always signaled I am about to get a new OTA update), but I am getting nothing on the TCU connection other than the drive statistics uploaded after each drive.

Speaking of the uploaded stats, I have all of the selections enabled now for online services. Does anyone know which items can be deselected such that it won't impact the receipt of updates and other important stuff?

Had to be cellular. I’m traveling.

Still nothing. Based on your Sync version, you are a bit behind. They don't push out the older updates very often.

No OTA history in the past 60 days. The last OTA your truck got was October of last year, but since it is past 60 days, I can't see which one is was.

Your OTA trigger was created on 2/7 which means you have 4 days to get that update to go through before you will be stuck months waiting for it to be resent to you. The truck must be parked and inhibited for 1.5-2 hours while it installs. If you don't have one, buy or borrow an AGM battery charger 10amp minimum. Park you truck and connect the battery charger to it in the evening. Leave the charger on there for hours before you schedule the update on your touchscreen. Set the update for 4am or something so it does not kick of until battery has been charging for hours. When you schedule the update, set your headlights to off, turn on the parking brake and double click the lock button on your key fob when you walk away. Good luck.
Thank you very much. I didnt have my ebrake on and my headlights were still set on auto. I will try everything you recommended tonight. I know there is a discussion on the crap OEM batteries, I forgot about the state of charge table.

NOCO GENIUS10, 10-Amp Fully-Automatic Smart Charger, 6V And 12V Battery Charger, Battery Maintainer, And Battery Desulfator With Temperature Compensation

Would this be a suitable AGM charger for the task?

After getting 3.5.4 shortly after receiving 3.5.3, yesterday I got that trailer recall patch, and then a bigger update "to ensure future updates".
Man, Ford is either no updates for many many months, and then it is pouring - one update after another

Yes it is, and you can make your life a bit easier if you get this X-Connect adapter: https://no.co/gbc007 - allows to quickly connect/disconnect the charger, and keep the hood semi-closed while charging

On June 14th, 2022 I received the 2.8.2 Power-Up. Since then - nothing. My 2021 Platinum is connected to my home Wi-Fi for at least 9 hours every day. Is there any way to force this?

That's the same charger I use. However, that comment was for the last member I responded to on that post. That particular update is a PITA.
