My large screen still locked in Miles instaet of KM's even after going to the settings to change to metric. My speed and distance is metric but the center console screen shows in "miles" remaining to destination. I can live with that especially when in the USA., but is should change when changed. I don't want to go to dealer over this either.
Changing to KM on the navigation screen should be in the Navigation settings menu. That is a separate system than the one you changed on the dash.
The second attempt of 4.2.2 finally came through. The weird thing is it downloaded all but one of the files this afternoon. And then 7 hours later it finally downloaded the final (and largest) file and completed the update.
Let's see if 4.2.3 come 'round in the next few days!
That you got 4.2.2 is a good sign. .3 came in a week later, with .4 three days after that
A few people have reported this issue. You are not alone.
It looks like the issue is still present after getting 4.2.4 and it seems to be even worse now. Are you aware of any potential fixes for this issue, or am I stuck waiting for Ford to figure out what they broke when they pushed out the update?

It still sucks with 4.2.4. People are reporting issues with both wireless carplay and android auto. I have been using the wired connection on my own truck, and it works much better. I recommend everyone does the same until Ford figures it out.
Hi all - apologies if this is addressed somewhere else in this 500 page thread, but I came across it after trying to figure out why my 2021 F150 sync is not updating. The automatic update radio button is off, but I can't change it, and when I manually check for updates, it states there isn't one available. I bought the truck in March of 2021 and it hasn't updated since I have had it. Interestingly, my version and revision are blank in the About settings:
Is there anything I can do to update it? Thank you.

You would need to provide me with your VIN to confirm, but I am confident your truck is stuck on Sync 20301 which is bad software known to break the OTA process. You would need to take it to your dealer, tell them you have not gotten updates in years and reference Ford TSB 22-2404. They need to manually update/repair your APIM to get it out of its current state, or diagnose it as faulty and it replaced under warranty.
Lots of luck to you Zachmaster. My dealer tried four times and a new APIM. They finally got Ford to say truck was not designed to be updated. That is full B.S. !!!
