Has anyone found they need to back out Forscan changes to get the Power-Up updates to go through? If anyone can check my VIN to see if anything strange shows up it'd be very much appreciated...thanks!

As far as I know, FORscan changes do not affect OTA's. In your case, that is definitely not the case as PTS shows multiple failures due to insufficient battery charge as the culprit. Even with a charger on the car, many people have had issues getting this update to stick. You can also try driving the truck for a good half hour in the evening, then connect the charger to it and schedule the OTA for 4-5am when the truck has been on the charger for hours before it tries to install it. PTS shows the OTA trigger expired on your truck. Is it still allowing to try to install the update or no?

Ironically I just got back from a 2 hour drive yesterday, put it on charge and scheduled the update for 5am this morning and it failed...again. Noco Genius10 charger shows it is charged and on a maintenance charge (slow green pulse). It's still providing the option to install the update.
Many thanks for checking so quickly!

Dang, that really blows. Idk what to tell you other than to keep trying until it takes.

My dealer service center is absolutely worthless. I took mine in for the "low battery" screen I'd occasionally see, making sure to express multiple times that I was concerned that I wasn't getting OTA's. Was told they always update that stuff etc. I had checked for DTC's prior to taking it in just to see, and that one APIM code wouldn't clear. I didn't even say anything to the dealer figuring they'd obviously come across it since I was complaining about lack of OTA's and potential electronic issues. Yet that code is still there, no updates were applied, and im pretty convinced they kept it for 2 days just to test and charge the battery. If someone lives in the Tyler TX area and can recommend a dealer, I think I've about had it with Tyler Ford.

Right now, the system is showing you are on Sync 20301 on my side.

It was 4/19 where the notes state they tried 3 laptops.
I had to look back through my records on this. 4/19 they tried and failed to update it at the dealership. They ordered a new APIM and installed it on 5/19. Since then it has showed 21223.

Could they have missed something that’s stopping it from reflecting in PTS? If this is something I could fix myself, I’ll go that route.

If your truck says that, then that is accurate. For some reason, PTA does not reflect that. That software version indicates you are still behind, but you are past the hump where trucks get stuck. The thing is, Ford does not roll out those older updates very often. No telling when you will get an OTA sent. The only way to fix it yourself is with a Mongoose cable and an FDRS license.

Anyone have additional information on what actually is corrected by "Update 22-PU1009-TLC-CSM" improvement to trailer position/license plate lights?

Something recently wiped out my saved NAV favorites. That was the last thing I received on 2/15.

Improved trailer light illumination, reprogramming of the interior motion sensors to prevent the alarm from going inadvertently, and it fixes a BCM issue that was causing fried headlights on trucks with the quad lights. If you get this OTA and then check the truck with FDRS, there will be a BCM update in there. It is advised NOT to do the BCM update as it will revert the truck back to the faulty software that was causing headlight issues on those trucks. Ford has yet to pull the bad update from FDRS for some reason.

I had my dealer do all the individual module updates on the truck this week and they reported that the IPC module was the only one that wouldn't take an update. I believe that's the main center console, right? My Sync still shows version 22177_PRODUCT Revision 473 (where I started) after all this effort. I think they might have hit the issue described in https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...10244-0001.pdf but didn't realize it was a problem, so I'll get back in touch with them tomorrow.

I did gain the trailer assist functionality I was looking for (can now set up trailers with stickers) but didn't get some of the other things I was expecting like full screen CarPlay, the ability to leave the cameras active while driving, etc. I also noticed that now I seem to have the center console lights stuck on after I lock the car, which seems like it was fixed in an update quite a few months ago...

The car also still shows that update 2.7.3 is pending in the app. The tech showed me their FDRS system indicating everything else was up to date, would someone be able to reconfirm? Maybe this was enough to shake OTA updates loose?

VIN again is 1FTFW1E80MFA53605
