I read a few others who reported similar experience with those 2 updates.

I will say this latest unnumbered update that changes the mirror heaters seemed to come in via wifi. So it is all hit-n-miss with no consistency. I'll just be happy to get what I get... ;-)
Since receiving the heated mirror update, I am now getting the Trailer Brake Module Fault.

It could be a total coincidence, but it started happening right afterwards... There are no codes or anything flagged in the Ford health check report I just received. I got the 3.5.3 update before the unnumbered heated mirror update and had no issues. Sync is 22293 Rev 610, so I believe current for that release.

I guess it will be time to make another appointment with the dealership to see what's up...

I don't really trust my FordPass to tell me - it doesn't even show the windshield wiper motor recall althought I received a letter from Ford.

Tbh, they're all "we'll get it when we get it" updates. Some people luckier than others. You have 4.2.1 sitting in your queue as of a few hours ago. Go to your truck and check for updates to see if you can trigger the install.

Your truck is not recording any low battery codes. I don't know why it went into sleep mode if that is what happened.

You also have OTA 4.2.1 sitting in your queue right now. Perhaps your truck acted up because it was in the process of installing this update.

Interesting, I got the notification saying it was installed. I wonder like you said if it got interrupted. I’ll go out and see if I can push it through via the truck interface.

Actually, it does say campaign successful now. It takes a bit sometimes to update in PTS.

Thanks - that's what I figured about updates as an avid follower of this thread!

No joy on trying to trigger the update. Clicked the button to look for updates and it says I'm up-to-date. Only had two bars out of four for AT&T wireless according to the screen, so I went for a short drive but nothing. Parked the other direction in my driveway and now have three bars. Guess I'll just have to wait! Nothing shows in FordPass except 3.5.2 back on Sep 14th.

Just received this not even 30 seconds after I posted my reply:

PTS now shows the update installed successfully a few minutes ago. Unlike 3.5.3, this update seems to have a high success rate to install.

If yours is a 2023, that makes sense as this is the only OTA that is new enough to apply to your truck. Yours would have already been built with any updates 2021/2022 trucks are missing.
