The wording of 3.5.4 says it enables Alexa, but many people are saying you get it with 3.5.3. This would only apply to 2021 owners as 2022's already had it from factory.
Yeah the Alexa icon was there for me along with the extended CarPlay button with 3.5.3.
I have pictures of my screen after 3.5.3 and after 3.5.4, there is nothing visually different. Alexa icon was there on the 3.5.3 update as is the expand CarPlay icon.
But I didn't test the listed items for 3.5.4, like dual phone or the digital owners manual, when I got 3.5.3. So 3.5.4 may have just really been so behind the scenes it wasn't as obvious.
Thanks. I have the exact same version. 2021 job 2 KR at 3.5.4. Yet, only getting the pseudo-full screen map with the tile on the right side. Hmmm...
It has something to do with AA ( perhaps coolwalk ?). On my Android I could only get the spilt screen even after the update. However, I just tried it with my wife's iPhone and there's the full screen. Guess we have to wait for an Android update.

The AA version is not relevant if Google hasn't activated coolwalk for you on their side. I side loaded the newest version of AA available into my phone and I still didn't have coolwalk.

Same. From my research and trial/error I believe this to be true. For AA to be full screen, you need both Ford's OTA 3.5.3 or 3.5.4 AND Android Auto Cool Walk update which is a server-side push. Even if you are up to date with Ford's OTAs you will still have to wait for Google to flip the switch for you to get the Cool Walk update. There is no way to force it.
3.5.3 came in yesterday. AA looks better, but I have not gotten the 8.7 release yet, so it is not completely full screen. However, I got my hvac controls on the bottom of screen, and the new splash screen I chose in forscan.
Thank you for checking. I'll try a longer charge this weekend. I had the battery on the charger for 4 hrs last night and it still failed and the charger shows the battery is full too.
My truck just updated 2.8.1, didn't touch the truck tonight when I parked it. Just locked the doors and it updated at the scheduled time. Seems it took 2hrs to complete. Good luck!
