It's disappointing that Ford does not offer other solutions for these upgrades when their OTA program seems to be failing their customers.
As it looks like from this thread (that I started over a year ago) the dealerships are also struggling with this issue. It seams that if there is a path for owners could download updates and load them via USB to the vehicle (as I use to do this with my wife's C-Max and our old Escape) this would help the majority of owners work through these updates.

Trust me.....his opinion on Ford and how they've dropped the ball is NSFW. Not sure if I've checked your VIN before. I've checked so many, it's hard to keep track. Are you stuck on sync 20301, too? Send me your VIN to check.

I have not shown any activity on updates since the failed attempts to load 2.8.1 back in early October. I was traveling out of town at the time and could not have the truck on a charger.
Vin is 1FTFW1E84MFA54210.
Thanks.

Ah, that's right. Still nothing for you since mid-October. At least you aren't stuck. The fact that you've gotten that far is actually a good thing.

PM me your email addresses so I can send you the files and instructions. Include your VIN in the email subject line to prevent confusion.

Is anyone else having problems logging in to FDRS today? The login screen won't ever appear.

I had issues logging in on Saturday, updating FDRS (making sure I had the new VCI firmware), and restarting my laptop solved all my issues.

I confirmed that the issue is on Ford's side:

FDRS Help
  • Non-Dealer/Aftermarket Users may see a white screen after logging in. The team is aware and working toward a solution."
