I'm glad to get this OTA because it means it not stuck anymore. I am also happy I got this when I did not have a battery tender on it.
Glad to hear! You didn't get 4.2.1 ahead of this one?

So if we are now getting OTA we don't have to pull out the Mongoose cable and update?

It is an app, but without a Ford employee log in or a paid subscription to access the site/app, it is useless. It would make my life much easier if Ford just let people check their own trucks, but it is what it is.

Correct. The purpose of the Mongoose is to fix your truck if the OTA process is broken or install module updates not available via the OTA process. Or, to update your truck as soon as an update comes out if you don't want to wait on the OTA to be sent to you. But once you get a truck that is stuck out of OTA limbo, the updates start coming in as intended.

Edit: You can also use it to make changes with FORscan, but there are much cheaper options if all you want to do is FORscan stuff.

I see the notification in FordPass but it never popped. All good thanks for all the help. I would guess the ones others are talking about should be coming in the next days.

You had OTA 3.5.3 sent to you in February and it timed out before it was able to download the files, but that is very common for that update. 3.5.3 was resent to you a week ago, and this time it failed due to a software mismatch. When the dealer installed the APIM in March, they did not run a PMI procedure. The PMI is not mandatory after the module replacement IF the APIM is matched up to the truck properly. When you can, go to your truck and go into the "about sync" page in your touchscreen. If I remember correctly, it's under settings, general, about sync. Post a pic of the info you see there. I will have someone with more knowledge than I have look at your truck to see if they botched the APIM installation or not. PTS shows little data for your truck....I can't even see what Sync version you're on. If you were getting 3.5.3 sent to you before the APIM replacement, you should have been on Sync 22192 which way past the point where 2021 trucks got stuck and needed APIM help. I am confused as to why they replaced your APIM to begin with.

Edit: Well, I see now why they replaced your APIM. There are notes saying your screen was glitching. Now we just need to find out if they did it correctly.
