FORscan and FDRS are two totally different things. The tool you need for FDRS will also work for FORscan, but a FORscan tool will not work with FDRS. FORscan is to modify little things in your truck like brightening the DRL's, adjusting speedo for larger wheels/tires, etc. You cannot perform module updates with it.
Not entirely true. The sensei himself (Jesse) uses it to load firmware/software. But in the hands of a non-Ninja one is more likely to stab one’s self. 🥷

I rec'd 2.6 shortly after it was returned from the dealer where they eventually replaced the battery and brought the truck "up to date" 6 months ago. Then about a month ago, I rec'd the weird numbered "update" ending in ..PUA ???
Since then nothing, auto update is on for all 7 days and I've tried manually but nothing.
Ford Pass says "You’re All Set There are no actions required right now."

Completely normal. There are two weird numbered updates. You were sent both, but one of them is in limbo. It was sent to you on 9/13, but the status is blank. The OTA trigger was sent to you, but the truck never downloaded the files and it still shows as pending. Nothing to worry about...it's a small patch to prep you for future updates. They didn't get your truck "up to date". They did successfully repair your APIM in late July. Since then, you've gotten a few OTA's, so I think you're good to go. Just gotta be patient.
Is the GWM and APIM update for job 1 2021 only for certain ones? I have yet to see GWM or APIM update on FDRS, but i am still waiting to get OTA 2.7.4, i did get OTA 2.7.3 last month. My job 1 2021 xlt was built in january 2021.
Still waiting on my 2021 - but in my 2020 302a you can check if updates are available under settings.. If you have the latest it will tell you so and that no updates are available.. Make sure you are set for automatic updates and you should get them when parked and logged in to you home or office wifi..
It will "lie" sometimes.
My truck tells me, I'm up to date and there are no updates available for download. However, a friend checked my VIN and found a list of 7 OTAs that need to be down loaded.
I got 3.5.2 OTA yesterday on my 2021 Job2(August build) F150, so today I checked my truck using FDRS while I was at the dealer working and had an APIM update available, so I did it, it was 5gigs of files .
First thing that caught my eye is the layout is noticeably different (clock is now in the LH corner) and I am now able to make Android auto "full screen" (pictured, it gets rid of the side bar on the RH side of screen)
Also the onboard navigation changed as well, 3d view is at different angle now , and map animations when driving have become A LOT more fluid. Unfortunately still no Alexa yet
EDIT: as of this afternoon I now have Alexa built-in capability! I also received a new tab on the mini screen on RH side for off-road status

Wow, not only is my Auto Start not working since I got 2.8.3 (Yes, my battery is fully charged), I just got the 3.5.2, and now when I lock my doors with FordPass, my mirrors don't fold.
