I can't find any evidence of any software updates being sent to my truck, ever. Sync 4 is still version 243, which AFAIK is about 8 months old. What's the point of OTA updates if there's never any updates, improvements, bug fixes or new features? Anyone from Ford or a dealer that can chime in with what the strategy is for OTA updates?

Still waiting on my 2021 - but in my 2020 302a you can check if updates are available under settings.. If you have the latest it will tell you so and that no updates are available.. Make sure you are set for automatic updates and you should get them when parked and logged in to you home or office wifi..

I just checked my SYNC 4 and my revision is 229. But it says my system is up to date. I have auto update turned on.

One thing to note though. I have never had any glitches on my SYNC system. So might be best leave well enough alone.

OK, so it looks like version 243 is the Sync 4 S/W version (which my truck is at), and I am guessing the v1.7.1 is a Navigation update. Mine shows as v1.4.1. So I would be expecting this update to come through at some point?

Yeah checking a couple people that have pinged me, I can see previous updates and an OTA that went out for many on 10/11. For some reason mine wasn't successful so it is pending retry.

Hey, Vulnox, can you check my OTA history? I just finally got 1.4.0 this week, and it’s been about two months since I got 1.6.0. So either the system has had trouble completing an OTA to my truck, or their server architecture is struggling with volume. I see both MAC addresses on my router when the truck is on, but I never catch it talking to the router when the truck is off, unless I push update on Fordpass app, then one address comes on for a minute. Be interesting if the delay is due to saturation on ford’s end, or something on my end. I’ve sent you my VIN in the past, but if it’s deleted from your messages can send it again. I’m wondering, if they are already struggling with server load pushing these out, how long will it take to get the reportedly large BC OTA going?

As of today, you have the 1.7.1 pending. If you go out for a quick drive or something it may kick it off, not entirely clear on what always triggers it to apply.
