Thanks so much. So, do you see that there are other modules that are out of date? If so, would you think those will be coming at some point -- maybe? Lol For some reason my truck has been stuck, where I have never received an update in two years until last night, (first ever OTA). Thanks for all you do.
Modules with pending updates are below. As you can see, now that you got an APIM update, there is no update showing for the APIM even though it is still out of date. No update pending for the GWM either, but the TCU shows a pending update. That will be the next of the 3.x.x updates you get. Once you get that one, it will release a GWM. And so on.....and so on.
The other modules pending updates do not have a dependency on these updates, so those can come in between the APIM/GWM/TCU updates.
It's forcing the alternator to engage with a heavier load on the system. Invest in a tender, it will maintain battery longevity better than an alternator. Really, alternators are designed to maintain a battery charge, they are not the ideal way to charge a battery. Especially when the battery is very low.
I have a battery tender and a surface-mount breakaway connector (the name of which I forgot) on the rear bumper for use at home. I was curious as to the technical effect of the fan speed. Thanks for the explanation.

Make sure to connect your tender, the negative or ground, on the back side do the BMS sensor not on the front side or directly to the negative.
Here's an odd one. I have a 2019 XL with the standard, 4" radio. Nothing fancy here. I don't even think it's part of the Sync 3 system. It's just a radio with blu-tooth connectivity. No navigation. It's very basic.
I started getting a message to enable automatic updates. I selected "no' but the message continued. Last Friday night after work, I pulled in my driveway & punched in my wi-fi password. I only did it to get that message to stop. I went to my truck the very next morning and the display was funky. The characters are too big to fit on the display. There's a "home" icon in the upper left corner that I never noticed before. Most the of the buttons do not work. I can adjust the volume and seek to other another channel but that's about it. I'm stuck on AM. It seems like I got an update via wi-fi for a larger, touchscreen radio. Is this even possible???
I've done the soft reset & disconnected the battery. I can't do a hard reset on the radio because I can't access the settings the menu.

My VIN is 1FTEX1CB9KE45445
Thanks for any help in resolving this silly yet frustrating matter.
VIN is missing something, but either way, only 2021+ F150's come with a modem where it reports info the cloud and I am able to check it. Tbh, I don't know much about the software isses with the Sync 3 vehicles. I had a 2015 F150 on Sync 3, but I never messed with it. I am pretty sure I have seen your issue reported in some F150 facebook groups and from my understand, your model year gets APIM updates by downloading them directly from the Ford website onto a USB drive. I think posting your concern in the section dedicated for your model year may yield you better results.

According the the Sync tab, something was definitely updated OTA on 7/26. Idk if Sync 22251 is that latest for your truck since I've dug into the older Syn versions. However, if the issues started a week ago, then the time line does line up with when the truck was updated.
