How long ago did you get 2.7.4? Wondering how long I'll be waiting from 2.7.4 to 2.8.x.

This is only the second update I have ever received, The one prior to this was about 2 months ago and I don't recall the version number.

 

I received another update yesterday and jumped from 2.6.0 to 2.7.3. Did they combine updates? Anyone else skip 2.7.1 and 2.7.2?

Another thing I find interesting or maybe coincidental is I always receive updates after driving somewhere. My truck is not my DD and I may go a day or two without driving it. The last five updates I received I got the notification after driving somewhere and normally a trip of at least 20 minutes.

 

Mine went from 2.7.1 to 2.7.3 last week and skipped 2.7.2. I guess it's possible that 2.7.2 was only for certain truck configurations.

 

Mine went 2.1 to 2.73. Nothing since but its only been a few days

 

How can you tell what version you are on? I don't see any 2.1 or 2.73? I just see is Sync 4 Software Version: 21223_PRODUCT revision 197

I have not received any OTA software updates yet I have a 2021 Ford F150 XLT with 12" screen. Build date was Nov/Dec so its a job 2. Anyone get updates for a similar Truck?

 

I am in the same boat, mine was built first week of Nov and still no updates either since I got it. Same version of sync as well.

 

Anyone have repeated failures of 2.8.1?

I've been seeing fairly regular updates the last month but I have now come to the update for 2.8.1 and it's failed for the last 4 nights as scheduled. I have also tried manually updating and it fails then too. It never gives me an actual reason, just "It was unsuccessful." Seems to happen about 12 minutes into the update process based on the time of the failure notifications.

Everything else has updated without this problem.

 

There is a difference in the version of Sync you are at and the version of Ford Power-up. To see the version of Power-up software you are at go to Settings / System Updates and select Update Details.

 

Tomorrow will be the 7th day my dealer has had my truck and the 7th time it has been there to fix the auto update feature. I'm really starting to get frustrated. What should I do?

 

1. Wait
2. Get truck back, drive it, forget getting any OTA updates
3. Get truck back, take it to a different dealership
4. Get truck back, trade it in
5. Purchase Mongoose, charger and FDRS subscription and attempt to do it yourself'

I'm sure there are other options. Which one you choose is completely up to you.

7 days? LOL. Mine took 2 months and 4 days.
