Telling the TRUTH is "burning" him? How so? Communicating the quality and level of service requires malice? That makes zero sense.
With all due respect, you deserve every ounce of frustration that they have (and will continue to) give you over this truck. Essentially lying about the quality of service you're receiving, solely because someone is related to you? No way. Not me and I'd be willing to bet, not most anyone else.
Good luck.
In my case, the frustration is minimal. It's bluecruise.....not oxygen. I can live without it. As I mentioned before, I do very little highway driving. I will probably turn it on once or twice to see how it works and then forget it exists.
Maybe my logic is flawed because I am in the business. I'm in sales and I've had a client leave me bad survey because the detail department was backed up and they had to "wait too long" for the car to get cleaned and prepped. Not a far comparison because unless I go clean the car myself, I don't have control over that like my advisor has control over getting what I ask him to do done, but I am not going to be a Karen over something as trivial as bluecruise. I went to get my oil change and recalls done, and was hoping while it was there, that they would do the bluecruise update. It's not like I took my truck in there specifically for that. At the end of the day, he is leaving money on the table by not doing it. It's costing him more than it is costing me.
Anywho, I get in my truck yesterday when I leave work, and I have a prompt saying the TRM update is downloaded and ready to install. I found this weird because in PTS, it says the TRM was updated at the dealer on June 2nd. My OTA dashboard had been saying for days that the TRM update was in queue to be installed. Again: Strange because according to PTS, it was already done. The dashboard was also saying that an OTA for 2.7.3 was in queue waiting for the TRM update to go through so that update can come in next. So I when I get to my driveway, I go into the trucks setting and initiate the update. It says my truck will be unusable for 8 minutes. I go in my house and let it do it's thing. Shortly after, I get a message from Fordpass that the update was not successful. I go back to my truck to try to initiate the update again, and the truck tells me there are no updates. A half hour later, I get another message from Fordpass saying the update was not successful. I go back down to my truck, and when I check the settings, it tells me that my truck is running 2.7.3. Huh? When I get to the office today, I check my OTA dashboard and is says both the TRM and 2.7.3 updates failed.
So my truck says I am on 2.7.3, vehicle history says the TRM was updated on June 2nd by the dealer, but the OTA dashboard says both of these updates are still pending. I'm confused. I am inclined to believe that if my truck says I am on 2.7.3, then that's what I have, but why the discrepancy? Any of you techs have any insight on this?
What version does Sync need to be on for the trailer brake recall? I plan on taking my trailer out in a few weeks and want to make sure I have the updated trailer brake software.
I got the OTA recall for trailer update this morning. I had to power off my truck and lock it.
I did it, too. I followed the instructions exactly. I just don't see why it came via an OTA if the dealer had already done it. Even then, why does the OTA dashboard say the update failed on June 9th if the the vehicle history shows the dealer did it on June 2nd? To be honest, the trailer update is more important to me than anything else. The last time I towed my boat, I was getting error messages on my screen constantly. And I do mean constantly. I really hope that update is in there.

I got the same OTA TSM update earlier in the week. @Livnitup stated that there were 2 different TRM updates that he had received on his self-applied vehicle updates, so that is probably what we are all seeing. Mine updated successfully when I did the "Update Now" option in the Sync menus. I also had the dealer installed one too from a couple weeks ago.

If you expand the TRM update line and then click 'View' button on the 'App Log' line you can see in there, 100%, that the version it's trying to push via OTA is the same version they updated manually (ML3T-19J297-BB). Very strange behavior indeed!

That would explain why there is an error on that update. It still doesn't explain why it says 2.7.3 was not successful, yet my truck says it's running 2.7.3.

Where does your truck say you are running 2.7.3? In FordPass? All the screenshots you provided seem to indicate that 2.7.3 is in a retry pending state, not that it is on there. The orange text above the 2.7.3 note says "OTA Retry Pending". It's just telling you which OTA retry is pending, not that it installed.
If you are referring to work your dealership did, keep in mind that OTA is separate from dealership work, many on here have noted they still got the trailer brake OTA even after the dealer did the update.

It depends on when the dealer did the update. Mine was updated at the dealer and received ML3T-19J297-BA whereas the OTA that came in this week was ML3T-19J297-BB.
This is a different scenario than what's happening for @rugedraw since his truck got ML3T-19J297-BB at the dealer.

On the touchscreen of the truck itself. When I go to check for updates, it tells me it is running on 2.7.3 in the truck itself. However, my Fordpass told me yesterday that two updates failed within a half hour of each other which coincides with what the OTA dashboard says.

Unless the dealer installed the BA version which then triggered the BB version to come via OTA? So if the dashboard is saying the update for 2.7.3 failed, but my truck says it has it, then I am hoping that TRM update went through, as well.
