I really appreciate you taking the time to do this, not just for me but everyone in this thread.

I called my local dealership yesterday and added the image modules not working to the list of stuff to fix when I’m in for my recalls. Hopefully they get me all fixed up. Thanks again!!

I updated all modules in my truck to get BC working, flawless update & didn’t have to deal with the 3 day trip to a Ford dealer. Have Updated 2 trucks so far without any issues. Wondering for those that went to the dealer and had this done, did they cherry pick just certain modules that were part of the BC update OR did they fully update all modules with upgrades available? I’d guess they took a cheap approach and did the bare minimum. Another reason to do it yourself IMO. Also I’m set to update anything I want in the future w/o a dealer visit.

My dealer cheaped out. Updated 1-3 modules and said they completed it but I still do not have hands free blue cruise. Service manager and GM have not responded to my email telling me I had to talk to my service advisor that is off.

Default cost of blue cruise

After jumping threw many hoops and weeks of time in the shop waiting to finally get blue cruise working but not fully up dated, my expensive truck, ford is giving us one year free of blue cruise. that's great but I lease. I went with a 3 year lease with the thought of buying it at the end if it turned out to be a good truck. I love this thing like a crazy woman but I am damed if I do damed if I don't so here's where I believe it's not fair waiting a year for what we all believed would come in a month or two of getting it. Now when the free year is up and in order to keep blue cruise it's $600 for 3 years. With my lease ending in two years, and to get one year of blue cruise I will have to pay for a 3 year term. Calling Ford to see if there was anything they could do to help with maybe a 1 year plan after the free was up led me to being transferred to many departments with a response that they feel bad but not able to help because Ford only offers a 3-year plan. Some how I would have thought someone at ford leasing would have thought about this?

You have to continually pay for Blue Cruise? I'm glad I don't have it.

thank you so much Livnitup, I am about to tack this list, do you have a recommendation on which modules to start on first and is there a recommendation for which order to start on those?

thank you very much.

My dealer is telling me that they can't give me the Bluecruise update because they haven't received it from Ford. They are telling me their rep says they will have the software in mid June. Such absolute BS. I know where I won't be taking my truck to next time it needs a recall. I almost feel like getting the maintenance plan I paid for with Autonation canceled and refunded so I won't have to go there again for anything. The crazy thing is, I used to work at the exact dealer my truck is in. Not the same people in service that were there when I was there, though. Anytime I talk to my advisor, I get the deer in the headlights look and stuttering instead of a response that has any merit. Can anyone with FORScan provide me with a list of updates? I only have PTS/Oasis. Can anyone confirm that all dealers have the BC update already and that it isn't being selectively rolled out?

It doesn't really matter on the order but the TCU, APIM, IPC, IPMA , GWM updates will take the longest. Make sure you have a battery charger hooked up and make sure your laptop is set so that it doesn't go into power saving mode and turn off after xx minutes with the laptop adapter connected (ask me how I know).

So I guess no updates or Blue Cruise as my truck won't connect to my home WiFi no matter what I do (I have multiple devices and two sub-nets and it works fine but Sync can never connect) and Auto Updates is now greyed out.
Is there any way I can download and perform the updates myself with a USB key or the like?
Also can I get a in-depth list of what it needs please?

This is ridiculous. It says right in the CSP letter that I both received in the mail and got thru my FordPass app that this program is "in effect through October 31, 2022". So by them telling you that there are no appointments for this until March means that the program will have already ended by then and they are no longer obligated to perform the CSP at all. Is this there way of avoiding to have to do the updates at all?
