When your truck has been built Ford sends your dealer an electronic notice that has your rail car # on it. Search "train tracking" on this site to get the # and procedure.

I had to call Ford customer service to get any kind of tracking. COTUS never worked for me. Mine is supposed to be at the dealer today.

My truck was ordered December 21st. Reported build date was February 2nd, reportedly shipped shortly after that. The last updated location is somewhere in Illinois on February 11th. Right now nobody knows where the f*** the truck is at. Supposed to be shipping to Seattle area. I have called ford customer service and they have no idea. I have sent messages to chat here on the forum with no response lately. They have all referred me to my dealer, who also cannot locate the truck. I believe they are feeding me a line of b******* and something happened and they are trying to delay. Very frustrating that there is no way for me to personally track this. I cannot believe that nobody knows where a $65,000 truck is that. Sounds like a bunch of b*******. I could probably walk from Seattle to Dearborn in the amount of time it is taking to ship this truck to God knows where.

Can you ask your dealer for the train car number? He should have it on the as built paperwork Ford sent them. Then use the train tracking 800 235-2352 (CSX Touch train) to see the status of your train car. As you know I have been doing this. I knew when it got to Kent and I knew it got unloaded from the train car (I'm thinking yours must not have been one of the trucks you saw yesterday). I'm sorry you are having so much trouble. There is a good thread here on train tracking. Good Luck

Looks like there's a lot of bad luck going around this thread lately. Dealership just called me saying they have good news and bad news..

Good News: my truck arrived yesterday

Bad News: the passenger door somehow got chipped paint during transit AND the dealership noticed a "significant" amount of overspray between the cab and bed of the truck that the factory didn't catch before it was shipped. So now my truck is in their body shop with an expected completion time between 5-6 days.

Manager said for the inconvenience they would include LoJack for free, a year's worth of oil changes, extended warranty at cost (if I want it).

So the wait continues

Update (manager sent the following pics):

That is not a good sign for Ford's quality control. I track my truck via Ford's customer service. Had a dealer in date of 2 March, then 3 March, now it's 5 March.

Well, today customer service said truck would be in on 5 March. Dealer just called and the truck is there now. That is good news. I will do a complete walk around inside and out for any defects.
