All about contracted pricing with delivery agents. I'd pay extra to get 'express' delivery so long as it were reasonable, but doubt that's an option, cause then there's overhead in managing express deliveries.

Does anyone know how long from "build date" until it hits the transportation system? I am working off of a pin that expires on the 4th and my build date is the 29th.

your pin wont make it. my build date is 2/29/16 its supposed to arrive today according to chad@fordservice. so 2 weeks after your build date then.

your delivery of 2weeks from build is very ambitious. my build date of Feb 8 is still awaiting delivery to dealership. The dealership is about 150km from dearborn assembly. my truck is mired in Toronto rail yard since feb 25/26. I hope you get much better delivery service than I am getting to date. still waiting......

Can someone elaborate what 'pin' means for us noobs who just ordered? Presume it's login to a resource online, but to what?

From what I have read here, 2 weeks from build date would be best case scenario. 2.5-3 weeks would be average and then their are the cases that no one can explain that seem to take forever. My build date was March 4th so this Friday will be 2 weeks. Dealer says my delivery should be next week.

that is an awfully long wait only to have your new truck damaged...I am experiencing a similar wait, I hope mine did not suffer the same fate. Still awaiting delivery.......

Pin refers to what you get for Plan pricing(A/X/etc.) to give the dealer to process. They are only good for a certain time period.

My dealer can sell it to me once it's left the plant and "is in the system", not before. I will be buying the truck sight-unseen to get the discount. I am trying to find the average time from build date to it showing up as in-transit. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
