I just had a unique experience. So, as I said in a previous post.... my Buddy gave me the Milwaukee 1/4" impact last weekend. I ordered the Milwaukee "12 Volt Starter Pack" for it on Amazon. Well, I've already used the charger and battery.... then today I realized the sumb!tch didn't come with the bag that was in the pictures (circled). I just got done talking to Amazon about it, and they asked if I want to return it. I explained that I just wanted the stupid bag. The feller I was talking to transferred me to his boss.... Mr. Boss said "I'll just refund your money, and you can use it to buy a bag". LOL. When it's all said and done I got a 1/4" impact, charger, and a 4.0ah and 3.0ah battery for free. No complaints....

My Grandpa bought a 78 or 79 F350 brand new... pretty sure it was a 78. Anyway, that thing pulled anything you put behind it. It had a 460, so obviously a 2WD, but it's purpose was to pull horses, hay, whatever.... and it also moved a lot of people when they bought a new house. He told me that I could have it at one point, but it was so far gone. Like I say, it was used as a truck.
Yea, was kind of surprised how much those trucks are going for now... they don't have to be in tip top shape either. Haven't looked at them in awhile.

Those old 350's pulled as much as the gasers do today. Camper Specials were beefy as well.

Hopefully there's a decent 97/98 in there somewhere.
Paint looks great.

Isn't there something different about the 97 vs the 98 in the grill or surround. Can't recall what it was, something is different up there.

You can't deny Amazon has top-notch customer service.

So it is an impact, thought you changed that to just a drill or driver ? Doesn't matter lol.

Dang, Amazon did that...great! Scored on that deal.

Here's a comparo, Brew:

Straight-across on the bottom vs. a dip in the middle.

EDIT:
Oh, wait... You said 97 vs. 98. The 97's had single-piece headlights and a correspondingly different header. The surrounds, I believe, were the same.

All I remember it saying was "XLT Ranger" on both the fenders, and the glovebox.

I agree. I've never left an interaction with customer service that I didn't feel like they did an excellent job. Aside from the prices, it's one of the reasons I keep going back.

Ohio got the grille and headlight thing right.

Well this came out of nowhere today.
The 10th Gen F150 started running roughly today. Loss of Power, vehicle trembling at idle and more so at a complete stop.
There was even more stuttering and vehicle shaking while the vehicle was in reverse.
There was a burning smell coming into the cab in bursts off/on ....it was an oil/electrical like burning smell almost like something was literally burning with heat.

My coils were changed several years ago with currently (roughly) 15 000 miles max on them....all Motorcraft.

Maybe a clogged fuel filter ?? vehicle was parked for several months with brief start ups.
It's being driven fairly frequently for 5 weeks now.
Fuel filter was changed last summer. Barely 2000 miles on it.

One thing that comes to mind is during the time it was put in storage there was Lucas fuel stabilizer mixed into the fuel. During the first few weeks of running the car there was a mild burn smell coming into cab of truck....the smell gradually faded away until today's incident.

Yep, that's what I was after. New something was different between the two

Doesn't that make the 97 stand alone AFA the heads. You can't swap in 98-04(OBS) heads into that truck....they won't fit correct ?

Correct, I tried. I actually took a bunch of pics showing how different they are, but that was a few years ago. Not sure where they are.... probably in the box o' hard drives in my closet.

I thought I could outsmart the world by drilling/cutting here and there, but then I realized if I did, there was no way to adjust them.
