Thinking
I've been using those for a long time. Dewalt didn't have one at first, just in their Black and Decker line and it wasn't very good. Milwaukee was first, but it was only 4.5 amps, didn't have much power. Porter Cable (Tiger Saw) was king at one time at 9.6 amps. I still have my old one as well. I've replaced the trigger switch twice, but it's still a beast.
I imagine that could come into play...ouch! Torch is Milwaukee, yea they have good blades. A little over priced, but hey, it's Milwaukee. There's a crap tune of manufactures making quality blades now...just as good as Milwaukee. But they set the bar that's for sure..
Me too, DJ. Well... the good Sears. Towards the end it kinda went to hell on us. I remember going to warranty a ratchet for my Dad, and they gave me a stupid kit in a bag to fix it instead.
Seeing all of the Easter Jeep Safari vids that have been posted lately made me remember when my Buddy tipped his XJ on Hells Gate. He's lucky it wasn't worse.

you and me both
We had Sears at the malls around here since I can remember, probably before my time. But yea those closed.
Then They had a newer chain of stores. I think they were called Sear Hardware or Sears Warehouse ? I can't recall exactly, but it was newer chain.
I miss Radio Shack as well.
The internet most likley forced those stores to call it quits.
