So I did my transfer case with mercon lv today and now I have an extra 3/4 of a quart left over...is it ok to use with the mercon v in the tranny? If so I figure I would just throw it in the truck box in case I'm ever low...
Old stuff was a milky tan color, almost off white...no red in it at all...

I don't go on the hard trails (I'm not stupid). Yesterday was 300, 347, 327, and another I've forgotten. There's still enough snow up there to keep them interesting. There was a guy in a Land Cruiser with an autolocker in the rear that was having a hell of a time. At least I know not bother with one of those if I ever want to get anywhere in the snow.

Genuine Ford Fluid XL-12 Transfer Case Fluid - 1 Quart , black https://a.co/d/2zXFFnJ
Ford has a specific fluid for transfer cases. It's not trans fluid. If it was my truck, I'd drain it and put in the correct stuff. And no, I wouldn't mix Mercon IV and Mercon V.
