got our heating oil budget for this year. going from 100/mo to 135/mo and my PPG is capped at 4.79 up to 337 gallons which is what i used last year. if the price goes down i pay less but if it goes up I'm protected at that price

Holy crap, DJ! A 35% increase is a big hit!
I remember awhile back everybody and their brother was sending out "Lock in a great rate NOW!" post cards for natural gas and electricity. We only have one option out here for each.

On the gasoline topic... We paid 4.54 (Walmart) last night for gas because we heard that it was expected to jump 30 cents. Well, it was 4.99 in most places on my way in to work today. Just saw a message that the Walmart by me is out of fuel.

Yea it is a slight increase, but this is why i tried to drill into my fiances/ MIL head that I will not go right up to our approval limit for a mortgage, I was approved for 160K but i got this place for 130k, My MIL especially doesn't like how i am with money. She is buy now ask questions later

Yea they really go quick when parked in tall grass for the last 5 years lol. Over 20 Michigan winters 360,000 miles and still mechanically sound. It still looks good parked next to the wood pile though, and fired right up 3 weeks ago...did a little on site hauling.
