Yep! 1/4 mile of dirt road after a good rain at about 60.

I wouldn't doubt if they had wrap for every color code by now. Hate to have to peel one off. Witnessed that just recently....no thanks. Worse than wallpaper.

I've bought my last 4 batteries at HD, believe it or not. They sell Exides. The group 65 with 850 CCA is $120. Best deal I could find. When I had a parasitic draw issue a couple weeks ago, they took the dead battery back - zero questions. It's a 3 year free replacement.

I'm sure all this Colorado Pinstriping™ will get to me eventually and the buffers will come out. I'm probably in denial.

Same here w no Sears... 40 mo warrantee, I think - died 4 mo early. No questions. On the other hand, I prefer a 4-5 yr battery. And the Excise died sorta suddenly. I did NOT like THAT. (4, 5 year Sears DieHards died on me in 5 years..Shorted cells from putting a car battery into a van, a hot cramped spot, almost right over a wheel. I needed an immediate replacement and they never stocked truck batteries, which are no stronger electrically, but larger with greater plate separation and tougher plates. The trk version was Group 27; car was 24, IIRC.)

Thanks, White. Will keep that in mind if I decide not to go AGM, but there *should* be one waiting for me up in Monument that I'll pick up on my way to....... NUTS. I just remembered, I'm flying out of the Springs Monday, not Denver.

DOUBLE NUTS. That would've been a good excuse to get the '95 out today and stretch her legs for the first time this year. Rain in the forecast tomorrow, dang it.

Oh, and I just went out to swap insurance cards, and the electric locks won't even work. Battery is definitely toast.

What am I missing here ?
I thought Interstate were the best battery ?
Exide is as good a battery ?

Is 850 CCA enough for the North East Part of the U.S. ?
