I got the good old Dewalt Sawzall out today and took the two big exposed roots out of my lawn. These things are pretty big.

About the only way to make this truck look better is to add some Tia Carrere in the front seat to go along with that schwing.

Good goin white! Those are pretty big, just two ?Sawzalls are priceless on many occasions. Did you use a pruning blade ? Put a pruning blade on those things and they'll tear right through some big stuff. A 12" GreenLee Pruner you can stick right in the ground and go right around trunk severing the roots...you won't dull a pruning blade. It's a lot cheaper and will outlast a carbide chainsaw chain (@80 bucks per chain, 100 plus for the bar lol.).

Carpet yet, hows it look ?

This is timely info Brew. My local PUD just started taking down a large fir in my front yard. I will get a pruning blade, now that I know they exist, and get rid of a bunch of stupid exposed roots thanks to this.

Milwaukee, Diablo, Freud, there's always others that aren't bad as well. The green blades here are great for roots and dirt, - 5TPI big tooth -

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_pro...BIN=1&_fosrp=1

However those are too pricey, - that's a good tooth design sample for underground cutting. Best to get a 5 pack in case you gets one stuck. You can get bendy with the 12", they WILL fatigue and break if go too crazy however. Like say bending the blade at a 90 wide open will heat them up right at the bend...you do that slow but they won't hold out at high speed to long. So just common sense crap really.

Anyway, this Bosch is nice one. Amaz0n has an assortment,

Amazon Amazon

But yea, Those ^^^ are the blades for dirt, - and 9" logs If if you don't want to break out the chainsaw lol.

Those aren't the greatest for smaller limbs. I use a lopper for 1 1/4 " and under, you use a lopper or hand saw....depends on the situation.

Yes, carpet is in Brew. I'll post pics in a bit.

On the roots, I used a metal blade, believe it or not. That's all I had at the house, so I figured "what the hell?" and it worked out. It was a Milwaukee Torch blade I used.

Just tooting my horn here but I had my first phone call today in more than 5 years that I didn't need to use a voice to text app. Tubes were put in my ears last week to try and restore some of my hearing and so far, so good. I've been warned that if they work, at my age about half the time they work at first but over time begin to slowly fail. Time will tell.
